Are Catholics in France waking up? Maybe, maybe. Also, are all of these things that are happening around the world? Diesel, gas prices, the bombers leaving England, France. Are all of these connected? I asked the ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz. His answers are really amazing. And a woman who is in France right now, she has been watching this for a very long time. And she just wrote an article I read a couple of days ago, Why France is Burning. And I wanted to talk to her. We had her on the show today.

Oh my gosh, what a wake up call this is to every American you do not want to miss today's podcast.

Okay, so right now, the president yesterday signed in an executive order to not cut the taxes per se, but allow people to use what is called red diesel. That's an off road diesel. That's for trucks, for farm trucks, for off-roading, for tractors. And he's saying, now, we're going to allow big semi-trucks to use it on the road. It's an off road diesel, red diesel. And it's just the same diesel, it's just tinted red, so they know this is not a taxed diesel.

Here's the president yesterday signing it in.

I'm going to do what Joe Biden couldn't do, sign his signature. So, yeah, I just did something what Joe Biden was incapable. He could not sign, he only used auto pens.

Mike Waltz (2:39)

Look at that, isn't that nice?

Glenn Beck (2:43)

So, this is a temporary break through December 31st, and it could save the truckers up to about $100 every time they fill up. Now, here's a thing that everybody should know. This is a deferred tax. If Congress doesn't back it up, the truckers are going to be on the hook for that tax. So, they'll have a huge tax bill. If I were the president, I would be saying another reason, truckers go out and vote for the Republicans because they will not get rid of this tax. I can only do what I do. Congress has to do the rest. So, now he's giving truckers a temporary break. Why isn't he doing that with gasoline? I don't know, but I will tell you, my best guess is somebody has come over from the Treasury Department and said, Mr. President, we cannot defer taxes. We cannot cut taxes on gasoline. We cannot do it. Nobody wants to buy our Treasury bills right now. We are spending money like it's going out of style. We cannot do anymore. And so, this is why this is a deferred tax. Congress will have to be able to say, nope, truckers, you don't have to make that up. Farmers, you don't have to make that up.

And we're not doing more. And it ends December 31st because of our situation with our debt. Now, let me tie this into France.

What is happening in France? Yesterday, the French government spent the whole day trying to put out a fire that started in a high school.

Today, people who started it are trying to make that fire even bigger. It began the 17th of September at a school in a suburb outside of Paris. The complaint was ordinary teachers are not showing up. Classrooms are packed past capacity. Buildings are falling apart. Three weeks later, it's a national crisis.

On Monday, students disrupted or blockaded more than 400 of France's high schools, 24 schools have been burned or ransacked. Today, the schools are closed. Students are burning the schools that they say they want fixed. 78 staff has been injured, more than 600 police officers hurt. Since last Monday, there have been roughly 5,000 arrests, and 85% of them are kids. Northern town of Lens, a 15-year-old lost his hand in part of his arm when a police stun grenade went off during a clash. Don't pick those things up, kids. Authorities have not confirmed exactly how it happened. Investigations are open, but now that boy is the story, as it always is. You have video after video after video. This is not the way to get things taken care of. This is not a spontaneous disruption. These riots are planned. These riots are encouraged.
