The Falcons stunned the Packers. We probably should have known something, considering they had to go to overtime to beat the Jets, and we don't think the Jets are very good. That's what the Packers had to do on Sunday. And, but you know what? The Falcons came in and took care of business. Michael Pennings Jr. gets the Falcons in the win column. Thanks to an outstanding effort, he didn't start the game off, but after that interception, whoo, boy, did he light it up. 18 or 25, 256, one touchdown. Guys, what do you think? What do you like about what you saw from Michael Pennings Jr.? It seemed like they got to reprieve. They had them 30 long, the Packers, defender hit him up around the neck, they throw the penalty, next play, Bijon gets out the door, and from that point on, the Falcons never looked back. But what did you like about what you saw from Michael Pennings Jr., Ocho? You first. Turn your mic on. You muted. You muted.

But yeah, I thought the Falcons, that reprieve really helped.

Chad Johnson (1:15)

I'm good?

Shannon Sharpe (1:17)

Yep. Yeah. Yeah.

Chad Johnson (1:18)

It started off bad. He was very shaky on. I thought he was a little uncomfortable. Some of the throws were high. The throws were really off.

And obviously, I think it was the second or third down where they got the rough in the passer.

Joe Johnson (1:30)

That was the quarterback call.

Shannon Sharpe (1:31)

Yep.

Chad Johnson (1:33)

That's when everything changed. That momentum shifts a little bit. And once B. John Robinson got going, they were not able to stop him.

He's very, very good. He's one of the few running backs in the league that can make something out of nothing. Even when he stopped, even when you think you got him, he's coming out the back door and making something happen.

Shannon Sharpe (1:54)

Joe, what would you like about what you like to start from Michael Penick Jr. tonight?

Man, obviously he got off to such a slow start on Ocho. But man, once he found rhythm and you see once that run game gets going, it starts to complement the passing game. Hey, man, I'm happy for Drake London, bro. Yes. You know, when you come into the season on Ocho and you sign for big money like that, bro, you want to put on a performance, man. I'm sure he's been waiting for opportunities like this. So it's good to see Penix back in the lineup. OK, Ocho playing at a high level. They just needed to win. Yes. They needed a piece at the quarterback position who can move the chains, who can move the ball forward. He done a hell of a job at that tonight, but outside of that, that pick, OK, Ocho, he looked great. I thought they looked complete as a team. I thought their front four defensively.

Boy, them boys, hey, them boys ain't playing, man. Their front four on their defensive side, I thought they kept them in the game. Yeah. I thought, I thought, the Penics, he played well. And once you got the running game going, now I can play action off of that. Look how many times they play action and you see Drake London sitting in holes, and you see the other wide receiver sitting in holes with able to find something. Wide open touchdown to Austin Hooper in the end zone. They had the two point conversion because they can run the football. Now because now I've got to drop that safety down and they're taking bad angles. Man, he made a Bijan. Man, he shook what you call him Zaire Franklin in the hole.

Chad Johnson (3:31)

Yeah, in the hole.

Shannon Sharpe (3:32)

Had him dead to right. Yeah. But no, when you can run the ball, like you said, you almost had a 200-yard rusher and a 200-yard receiver. You don't find that very often in the NFL. Normally, when you have that in the game, you're probably going to win the game because you're going to control tempo, you're going to control pace. Time of possession is going to be on your side. We're going to see as I pull up the team stats, what the time of possession, the TOP, 3705 to 2255 So 37 minutes to 23 minutes. When you dominate the time of possession like that, you're going to dominate the game. Yeah. Bichon is Bichon. Drake London, we know what Drake London can do. If they're going to get consistent quarterback play like this here from Penix, okay, the Falcons might be in business.
