All right, guys, here it is. The Vikings linebacker, Jamal Adams, suffered a season-ended knee injury yesterday, a game in the free season, which reignited Graz vs. Turf. The national soccer teams played at MetLife Stadium, Graz, for the World Cup all summer, but it returned to Turf.
In 2025, Malik Neighbors tore his ACL. In 2023, Jalen Phillips tore his Achilles. Aaron Rodgers tore an Achilles in 2023 Kyle Fuller tore a ACL in 2022 Sterling Shepard, tore an ACL in 2022 Wondell Robinson, tore an ACL in 2022 49ers Nick Bosa, tore an ACL in 2020 49ers D Laman, Solomon Thomas, tore an ACL in 2020
All on Turf. Is there a difference playing on Graz vs. Turf, Ochoc?
**Chad Johnson** (0:52)
Hey, I'm the wrong one to ask. I'm the wrong one to ask because I haven't had any issues and obviously, you look at all the names that you just named that have had injuries on Turf, but you can also do the same thing for people that have tore their ACL that had the same injury on Graz.
You can do the same thing. Obviously, I don't have it in front of me. I don't have the numbers or the names of people that have been injured and tore their ACL. For some that you do ask, a lot of people say, yes, there's a difference. They prefer Graz. Some people do. I was one of the few players where it didn't matter, Joe. You know what I mean? Listen, we playing on Turf, we playing on Graz and I enjoy the Turf. Why do I enjoy the Turf? Because I understand even if it's raining, I'm still going to be able to run full speed in transition and stop on a dive.
I'm just telling you how I feel. I swear for God. I was okay with that. I had no problem playing on Graz. You play in Arizona, that Bermuda Graz was unbelievable.
When I played in Houston, that Bermuda Graz was unbelievable. It was dope, Joe. You didn't even know. I didn't really care what I was playing on because I enjoyed either surface. Joe, my black ass was playing in the pair of Chuck Taylors yesterday, going full speed. So, you know, I don't care nothing about no surface.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:02)
Yeah, you was tripping. I care. I want Graz, Joe.
**Chad Johnson** (2:04)
Yeah. So, depending on who you ask, there are certain people that care. If you ask some of the players today, yes, they prefer to play on Graz.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:10)
Hey, hold on, hold on. I don't care. But what's the biggest difference in playing on Graz and turf?
Graz is more giving.
Oh, okay. Graz is more giving. Their turf ain't giving, eh? Nah. Even in the field turf, they say it's like Graz. No, I don't want nothing that's like. I want what is.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:30)
Hey, hold on.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:31)
It tastes like chicken. No, I want chicken. Hey, so on that turf, is that how y'all get them big cherries on your arms and legs and all that?
**SPEAKER_5** (2:39)
Yes.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:41)
Yes.
**SPEAKER_5** (2:41)
Yeah.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:43)
And they hurt too. You don't realize you get them until you got to.
**Joe Johnson** (2:46)
Until you hit that shower, until that water hits you. Hey, yeah.
**Shannon Sharpe** (2:55)
But look, I think the thing is, is that I understand the players want grass.
But a lot of these stadiums are multi-use. They got concerts.
They got other football games. They got track the pools and they got rodeos and all kinds of things going on in there. So it's just hard. It's just too hard. Yeah.
**SPEAKER_5** (3:14)
It's just too hard.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:16)
Go ahead, Ochocinco.
**Chad Johnson** (3:17)
I'm going to say, Hey Joe, and people in the chat that are listening, this is also what makes it hard for teams that obviously want grass.
If you get into the late season, you got cold weather. You got to deal with the cold weather and being able to maintain the field as well. Because it's going to be messed up. It's going to get bad. It's hard to take care of a grass field if you play somewhere like Cleveland. You play somewhere like New York.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:41)
Yeah, yeah.
**Chad Johnson** (3:42)
Stuff like that. I mean, it's really bad. So having turf and also from a business aspect, being able to have other events there as well. Where it don't take.
**Shannon Sharpe** (3:53)
Yeah.
So to have a concert, a Jay-Z or Beyonce to sell that concert out. You see Shane Gillis, he had a concert in Philly Stadium.
