AJ. Brown is set to return to practice after being on IR, suffering a high ankle sprain in week one. The Patriots are designating Brown to return from IR, opens the 21 day practice window for the 29-year-old receiver. If he isn't added back to the active roster by the end of it, he's out for the season. Drake May has been cooking the past two weeks without AJ. You look at what he did to Buffalo, went to Buffalo, beat Buffalo and then put out a mean demonstration on the Raiders. How big would it be for AJ to come back and give them another boost in the receiving game?

It's going to be enormous, especially after the performance Drake May just had last week. That confidence going through that game, having AJ back and knowing that that is one target that I can count on first, second and third down that can get it off the muscle. I absolutely am happy. That's the thing. What's so frustrating is when you go to a new team and you get hurt almost immediately. That is the most Debbie Downer thing that you could possibly think of. Because I had a great off season. I'm so excited to be a new team.

Everybody got what they wanted. I got to go to a new team. Philly got me away from there because whatever the case may be. But I'm happy to be here. Then the first game of the season, this is what happened. I was messed up.

Those are the breaks. So now he has 21 days, basically three weeks. If he's not able to practice in those three weeks, he has to go on IR for the entire year. I'm glad they brought this back because normally, Joe, if they put you on IR, you was gone for the year. Really? Yeah.

I'm saying early. If they put you on there early, they could never take you off. Nope. Damn. That's for players who come in. It was a situation. Well, let me tell you what really started them doing like that. Teams were hiding players. They put them on IR, they bring them back for the 80s because they wanted to get an extra look at them. And if you see y'all see y'all, no good D goes unpunished. I tell you what, put his ass on IR and see what he can, he can't play the whole year. They always trying to cut corners, ain't they man?
