So we read about a dragon yesterday, and there were letters in this story. And why stop there? Right?
Why have one book that's got those wonderful urgent letters to open about that dragon, when we could have another one? But this one, we wouldn't want to have dragons, right?

Today's story is called Beast Feast.

This was written also by Ms. Emma Yarlett, and we enjoyed her book yesterday so much so that we cannot wait to read this one today.

It's, I think, going to also have a series of letters, what need being opened, so I cannot wait to get right into it, shall we? We shall, yeah, mm-hmm.

One very hungry day, Beast caught dinner.

Beast was ever so pleased. Dinner looked very tasty.
You are dinner, said Beast.

No, I'm not, said Dinner.

Because in the picture, we can see the Beast is a big, pink monster with claws and sharp teeth. And he is pink fur.

Yes, that is not very scary. But the big claws and the big teeth might be, don't you think?

Yeah. And he is snatched up a little boy with curly hair.

Beast didn't think he should keep such a tasty dinner all to himself.

So he invited all his beastly friends to a Beast Feast.

Dinner looked worried.

The little boy does look very concerned.

Soon Beast had his first reply.

Dearest Beast, I would love to attend your darling feast. I'm always hungry and your dinner sounds extra tasty. I can't wait.
I've received your invitation whilst slurping cockroaches cola on the Costa del Swamp.

Fingers and horns crossed. I wonder, would you mind fattening dinner up a tad? I love my food juicy and plump, just like me. I'm particularly fond of chewing chubby fingers.

He had a great plan to fatten up dinner when dinner had an idea.

Mr. Beast said dinner.

This swill looks lovely, but how about some delicious chocolate cake?

It would make me far plumper.

And we do see in the picture that Beast is about to spoon a big spoonful of putrid swill into the little boy's mouth.

Now, I'm going to pause right now because there were quite a few big old words here, and I don't know if you know what they all mean.

First, when we were reading about Sir Guttgussler and his coming to the dinner, he says, yours salivatingly. Do you know what that means?
Have you ever heard of saliva? Yeah, it's spit.

It's inside your mouth.

And so his mouth is already starting to water thinking about eating this yummy dinner.

Yeah, super gross.

**Lisa Bueno** (5:00)
But also, putrid swill.
So, putrid means that it's decaying or rotting or it's kind of old and gross. And swill is a food that is old and disgusting. So it's a smelly, gross, old, disgusting food. And in the picture, it looks pretty much like that.

I wouldn't eat it, but I would go for chocolate cake.

So let's see what happens.

Ah, yes, Beast wasn't sure he'd never tried chocolate cake before, but it turned out to be very tasty. Indeed, they stayed up all night eating and snacking.
