Are you really okay? Are you okay?

Nigel (0:04)

Everything's gonna be okay.

Tim (0:07)

Are you okay?

Nigel (0:08)

Are you okay?

Tim (0:09)

Yeah, I'm fine.

Nigel (0:11)

I'm pretty far from okay.

Hammer (0:14)

Are you okay with this?

Tim (0:16)

On The Hammer and Nigel Show. Okay!

Hammer rapper Jay Z has reportedly picked himself to perform the Super Bowl halftime show when he...

Hammer (0:31)

Can you do that?

Tim (0:33)

Well, when you are running the Super Bowl for the NFL, I think you can.

He's picked himself to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, takes place at Los Angeles in February 27 Are you okay with this?

Hammer (0:51)

So again, let me make sure I've got all of this right.

Tim (0:54)

Yes.

Hammer (0:55)

The NFL a number of years ago hired Jay Z and his company, Rockefeller Entertainment, to be in charge of the halftime shows. It's like, all right, Jay Z, you're a guy that we trust to get us good halftime shows. You find us the shows and you'll get a check. Jay Z said, you got it. In the last couple of years, he's done that. This year, he walked into the boardroom and says, all right, I'm hiring myself.

I guess I'm OK with that. I mean, if you can get away with that and do that, good for you.

Tim, it is Jay Z, right?

Tim (1:34)

He's not exactly a nobody.

Hammer (1:36)

Oh, he's got hit after hit.

Tim (1:38)

Yeah.

Hammer (1:38)

But again, that takes a big set of wayvos to just walk into a room of probably million dollar investors, like the Super Bowl halftime show, multiple millions of dollars, biggest sponsors and go, all right, I've hired myself for the show. Because there was chatter about Bieber, there was chatter about Miley Cyrus.

But ultimately, he pulled a full Roger Dorn from Major League Two where he was the general manager and activated himself.

Nigel (2:12)

Hey guys, I got some good news for you. This morning, at 9, 10 a.m., I activated myself.

Hammer (2:21)

Jay Z, good news. This morning, as of 9, 10 a.m., I hired myself.

So let's play a little game here. You mentioned earlier, he's got tons of hits. Allison, you already dominated one hip hop category. Let's see if you can sweep the day.

Tim (2:38)

We're doing it again?

Hammer (2:39)

I put together a seven song montage of Jay Z hits. OK, seven songs.

Allison, how many songs have you simply heard of? I've set the over under at five and a half, Nigel, five and a half over going over so she can miss one and you can still cash. How comfortable do you feel going into this?

Allison (3:00)

Honestly, I'm not as comfortable as I am with a good old Snoop Dogg. So we'll see.

Tim (3:04)

You might be surprised.

Allison (3:05)

OK, that's true.

Hammer (3:06)

I think you've heard a lot of these songs. Here we go. Honor system, as always.

Fire it off.

Allison (3:42)

Yes.

Hammer (3:59)

Run this town to jam. I don't think so.

Tim (4:08)

Wow!

Hammer (4:09)

Big Pimpin!

Allison (4:11)

No! No, I don't think I've heard that.

Tim (4:14)

You're kidding me.

Hammer (4:16)

The over still caches. You still won.

Tim (4:19)

Big Pimpin?

Hammer (4:20)

That's a monster, though. That's a monster from Jay Z.

Allison (4:23)

I thought I just gave Nigel a heart attack.

Tim (4:25)

Is that the whitest I've ever sounded?

Hammer (4:32)

The hard G at the end. Big Pimpin? Big Pimpin out in NYC.

Tim (4:39)

All right, let's move on here.

Do you have streaming fatigue? This is a real thing. A new report shows that the average US streaming subscriber spends 110 hours a year just looking for something to watch.

Hammer (5:01)

Channel surfing on the stream.

Tim (5:02)

It's because having too many choices leads to decision fatigue, which makes you exhausted before you even press play. First world problems. Hammer, are you OK with streaming fatigue?

Hammer (5:19)

No. How soft of a person do you have to be to admit to having streaming fatigue? Allison, you raised your hand.

Allison (5:29)

Yeah, I mean, I would say I'm exhausted, but I genuinely sometimes will spend like a half hour to an hour just scrolling, trying to find a movie. So I just go back to the same reruns. It is annoying sometimes. It's almost like you're overwhelmed with all the options.

Hammer (5:44)

OK.

Annoyed is one thing. But fatigue, to me, fatigue is somebody that's tired and their wellness is now a problem. Like you're concerned for their wellness and well-being.
