Are you really okay with this?
SPEAKER_2 (0:05)
Are you okay? Everything's gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_1 (0:08)
Are you okay?
SPEAKER_3 (0:09)
Are you okay? Yeah, I'm fine.
SPEAKER_2 (0:12)
I'm pretty f***ing far from okay.
SPEAKER_1 (0:15)
Are you okay with this?
SPEAKER_3 (0:17)
On the Hammer and Nigel Show. Oh, yeah! Hammer friend of the show, 95-year-old William Shatner, the ol brick shat house.
The Star Trek fame played his first heavy metal show in Chicago over the weekend.
SPEAKER_1 (0:38)
Okay.
SPEAKER_3 (0:39)
William Shatner did what he has with rock songs in the past. He kind of, we know this, he speaks the lyrics more than he sings them. Here he is. Okay, just bear with me here.
He's gonna greet the crowd, and then he's gonna break into Crazy Train, and then you'll hear part of Crazy Train from Ozzy, and then Enter Sandman from Metallica.
SPEAKER_2 (1:04)
I want to say hello. I'm so glad you're here. I'm so glad they're here, and I'm so glad I'm here.
SPEAKER_3 (1:42)
Ninety-five year old William Shatner and never, never Enter Sandman and Crazy Train and the Heavy Metal Show.
SPEAKER_1 (1:49)
I like friend of the show, William Shatner.
SPEAKER_3 (1:53)
I do, too.
SPEAKER_1 (1:54)
I enjoyed TJ Hooker back in the day, sliding across that cop car with smoking hot Heather Locklear waiting nearby.
But I can't get on board with this. I'm not OK with this. This feels like elder abuse. There's no way he needs the money. Now, maybe he's having fun, but he's 95 and he's out there in the midst of a pretty hostile crowd.
SPEAKER_3 (2:19)
It's amazing.
SPEAKER_1 (2:20)
It's hotter than hell. It was hot everywhere this past weekend. No, this can't be healthy. This can't be good. And there's no way he needs the money. Now, some old dudes can still rock like ACDC. Some of those dudes are in their 80s and they're putting on hell of a show.
Shatner's talking through Inter Sandman and he's like waving the crowd. Like we talked about earlier, they're trying to be supportive. Hey, all right. Good for you. But if given the opportunity to have somebody else, literally anybody else up there, I think they would have enjoyed it more.
SPEAKER_3 (2:59)
It is either too early or too late with most of the lyrics from what I saw.
SPEAKER_1 (3:03)
Right.
SPEAKER_3 (3:04)
It's like Inter Sandman. You could hear the crowd singing the parts that William Shatner should have been singing.
SPEAKER_1 (3:10)
But then I think they were yelling it to him.
SPEAKER_3 (3:12)
Yeah.
SPEAKER_1 (3:13)
Off to Never Neverland.
SPEAKER_3 (3:15)
Off to Never Neverland.
One of the biggest game. OK, do you want to talk about this one?
This this was crazy. One of the biggest game ending blunders in college football history happened Saturday. NC State. OK, up by three against Vandy. I saw this with six seconds left in the game, even though they were back on their four yard line. They had two choices. All right. Run out the clock with the final play or just get tackled in the end zone. Take the safety. They still win by one point. They chose to run it out. And here's what they didn't plan on. CJ. Bailey has six seconds to burn here.
SPEAKER_1 (3:58)
Bailey is tackled with the ball. The ball came out. And Vanderbilt recovered the football.
SPEAKER_2 (4:06)
Kaden Daniels first the fumble.
SPEAKER_1 (4:09)
And Vanderbilt has won it.
SPEAKER_2 (4:12)
What a wild win for Vanderbilt.
SPEAKER_3 (4:18)
What did NC State do? Are you okay with this?
SPEAKER_1 (4:20)
No, no. I mean, does somebody have money on the other side here? It was victory formation. OK, that's where you take the ball. You take a knee. Even if, you know, he takes a knee in the end zone, it's a safety. It's two points. It'll still run out the clock.
This moron takes the snap, starts running around, fumbles it, fumbles it in the end zone. Vanderbilt recovers and they win the game that way.
I've never seen a fumbled snap in victory formation before. But this, this is an all timer. And I cannot believe I didn't lose a bet this way, because this is normally how I would get beat. Like, I would text you, there's no way that just happened. Like, I'd get on our gambling thread. I can't believe I just lost this way. Like, that kind of crap only happens to me. I did not bet this game. I'm shocked that it did not happen to be, Nigel.
