Are You Okay with This?

Okay, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors Hammer just voted this week to allow Amsterdam-style cannabis cafes in the city. Here is a couple of those city supervisors.

Amsterdam does, you know, a lot of tourism business, has a lot of benefits from having the cannabis cafes. San Francisco is not Amsterdam. I don't know if that's what we're gonna see, but there may be elements of that here, and, you know, that, again, could be part of our recovery. This will help them, we hope, find a more competitive business model to help them sustain themselves over time.

What I don't like about this legislation is that it permits indoor smoking, and I think that is going backward on our public health goals.

Amsterdam-style cannabis cafes in the city of San Francisco, Hammer, are you okay with this? Would you be okay with it here in Indy?

So let's start with it being in San Francisco.
I feel like if all the health issues that you see out there, this would be the least of their concerns. Like that last woman you heard on that sound bite there that was concerned about the indoor smoking, I wish she were that passionate about drug needles in the street and human poop.
If she were only as passionate about those things as she is somebody smoking indoors, maybe San Francisco would be in a better place. So that being said, I don't think this is that big of a deal. I'm okay with this. Again, I've made this clear. I'm not somebody that smokes a lot of weed. I'm not. I don't think I have actually smoked weed since college.

I think I've had some gummies, but I haven't had an actual doober or hit a bong since college.
But I think it should be legal in Indiana, but regulated. I don't want it outside. I don't want kids to have to smell it when they're watching the 500 Parade or, you know, coming downtown to watch the, you know, whatever it is downtown.

Dude, I smell it on the interstate sometimes when I'm right, riding behind somebody that's smoking. I imagine what it's like out in the open, like in the city of San Francisco. If you're going Amsterdam style and these cannabis cafes. Yeah, you're right. I mean, I'm not so worried about the smoke indoors as I am. The smell of the fecal matter produced by human beings on the sidewalk in the alleys.

Right. Remember when who was it? Kim Jong-un or somebody. Maybe it was President Xi. I can't recall.
President Xi went to San Francisco. Pelosi and Gavin had to work overtime to clean up all the bum poop off the street.

And Indy is really good at this too. They got all the homeless folks, they put them in a shuttle bus and they took them to random hotels around the area. So President Xi didn't have to see the poverty situation.
That's what we do when we have massive conventions coming to Indy. So I'm fine with this. If you're going to legalize it in Indy, just regulate it to where you have to smoke that stuff indoors. That's all that I'm asking. Get as high as you want. Go full half-baked, full Cheech and Chong. Just do it indoors so nobody has to smell that crap outside.

This is a real thing in Philly. These are discounted gas stations launched in the Philly area. Freedom Fuel. Here's the Associated Press interviewing various people at one of the locations.

Well, last week, this was a Sunoco, and they did it with the Freedom Fuel Network. And my concern about it is clearly the price is subsidized. And I want Americans to be asking, where is that money coming from? Why are corporations and businesses willing to subsidize gas, 50 cents a gallon for people, to make President Trump look good?

We have a landscaping business, small business. Gas prices have been crazy this year, as you know. It really adds up to what we have to charge our customers because we can't really pass it on to anybody else. $3.47 a gallon is a godsend.

You can't beat the price. If you can beat Sam's Club, that's a great price. Trump's the man.
