**SPEAKER_1** (0:00)
Are you okay with the artist formerly known as the representative out of Texas, Jasmine Crockett here on her take on what happened with Karmelo Anthony? He's been sent to 35 years in prison, not the basketball player, just this kid that went into a competing tent at a track meet and stabbed a kid to death. Are you okay with this take from the artist formerly known as Representative Crockett?
**Jasmine Crockett** (0:28)
Black women, especially black women who have black male children, live in fear and agony every single day.
Fear and agony that I promise you, the Medcalfs probably never spent a day living that way. We're going to have to have just some real conversations about race in this country.
**SPEAKER_1** (0:55)
Oh, no. Austin Medcalfs stabbed to death by Karmelo Anthony, but the Medcalfs really have no idea. They lived in fear and agony of those children.
Yes. Of the children she was talking about. Yeah, absolutely. Going out and committing murder.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:14)
What are you talking about?
**SPEAKER_1** (1:15)
No, I'm not OK with this take.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:17)
That's terrible.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:18)
And then the representative, one of the representatives for the accused murderer, well, they've found guilty of murder, Karmelo Anthony.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:27)
Yep.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:27)
Convicted murderer, no longer alleged. Convicted. This is one of his representatives talking about it was a legal lynching outside the courthouse and inside.
**SPEAKER_4** (1:39)
I said, as a former prosecutor, this was a legal lynching that happened in this slaughterhouse. This is a slaughterhouse. This is not a courthouse. This courthouse has a sign when you will come here and you look like us, slaughter you.
**SPEAKER_1** (1:55)
I mean, he only got 35 years. That's far cry from a slaughterhouse. They didn't even give him the death penalty.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:00)
He got off light.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:02)
What are you talking about?
**SPEAKER_3** (2:03)
Legal lynching.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:03)
It's not even close to a lynching. He'll be out half that time.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:06)
Exactly.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:07)
He's got a chance for parole in half that time. All right, let's move on to a happier subject. Tom Hanks, one of my favorite actors, pretty woke, I think, but I can get past it whenever I watch Forrest Gump.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:19)
He's a good actor.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:21)
I was running. Tom Hanks is on, I think, Jimmy Kimmel.
But whatever, he was asked. I didn't know he did this. He, along with Steve Martin and Martin Short, all get together every five years and hang out. And then they do the colonoscopy thing together. They do the prep and then they go to get all probed together.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:48)
Every five year, that magic date comes around and we get together and compete as to who is going to be able to be the last one to go to the bathroom.
We are literally like, we'll be playing cards. So you take this stuff that induces the sluice mechanism to get that whole digestive system clean. The first one to go gets the last choice of when you go in to get the colonoscopy. I see. And it's like, I gotta go! And then you go and you can't hold it. Who's the strongest?
**SPEAKER_1** (3:21)
Tom Hanks waves his hand.
Are you okay with this? You're not old enough to do the whole colonoscopy. I haven't gotten to call it colonoscopy yet.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:30)
No singing Moon River for me. I'm sure it's coming.
Yeah. I'm fine with this. If a bunch of older men want to get together and get a colonoscopy, hey, whatever you do in the privacy of your own home is your own business.
**SPEAKER_1** (3:42)
That's fine. There's a genre for everything. My wife had her first one, had a somewhat unusual experience in the procedural room with the anesthesiologist because he, like my last name is the same name of a IU basketball player who's John Laskowski. I've gotten it all my life. Are you related to John Laskowski? Are you related to the announcer John, the basketball player? And she got that. Well, I'll tell you what, I've recreated the scenario that happened to my wife word for word. Some of the names have been changed. I'm taking some liberties here, but this actually happened to my wife just the last week during her colonoscopy.
Good morning, this is Laskowski. I'll be your anesthesiologist today. Say, Laskowski, you wouldn't happen to be related to...
**Nigel** (4:34)
I bet he's going to say John Laskowski, the IU basketball player and announcer. I would get that all the time.
**SPEAKER_1** (4:39)
Nigel Laskowski, would you?
**Nigel** (4:42)
Oh, yeah. He's my husband.
**SPEAKER_1** (4:47)
I listen to the Hammer and Nigel Show all the time. As a matter of fact, I'm going to call in today and tell him, I saw his wife naked. That happened.
