Market moving insight and analysis. Join Jim Cramer, David Faber, and me, Carl Quintanilla on the opening bell hour of CNBC Squawk on the Street. Nice to have Andrew in the house. Good Tuesday morning. Welcome to Squawk on the Street. I'm Carl Quintanilla with Jim Cramer and David Faber at Post 9 of the New York Stock Exchange. Coming up another day of record highs, futures pretty solid, tons of earnings, quite a few layoffs, and the three major catalysts of the week, a China meeting, MAG-7 and the Fed still on the way, 10 year 399 Our roadmap begins with these new market milestones. One major firm on the street expecting an everything rally into year end.

David Faber (1:41)

Job cuts are ramping up. Amazon announces thousands of white collar cuts. This is it invests more in artificial intelligence. And we have two big interviews coming up on the show. AMD CEO Lisa Su will join us to discuss the company's supercomputer deal with the Energy Department. We'll also speak to Royal Caribbean CEO. That's the first on CNBC interview. Shares by the way, the cruise operator are down sharply in the pre-market, despite at least what was a beat, raise guidance. But we definitely have to dig in to that, Carl.

Carl Quintanilla (2:10)

Let's begin with this record run for stocks. Jim, headline of the Journal, the good vibes are back on Wall Street. A lot of tactical desks looking at 7K by year end.

Jim Cramer (2:20)

Well, look, when you see those stories, you're first, we're all so conditioned to be cynical and say, well, that's gotta be the top when the Journal does that. No, I mean, I think that what's happened is it's not good vibes, it's good earnings, and they go over the earnings today, and I just see a plethora of really great quarters. Now, the ones that are directed directly, ones directed to the consumer, I mean, Horton, we'll talk about Royal Caribbean, those are not so good, and we know that if food stamps, if you get rid of food stamps, you know.

David Faber (2:47)

Excuse me? If you get rid of food stamps.

Jim Cramer (2:51)

If we cut SNAP, the SNAP program, then I know that you're gonna see a degradation where people need it most, the inflation in the supermarket. So inflation housing problem, inflation food problem. So it's not like it's, I don't want to say inflation in cruise, because they're very expensive, but you understand there's two economies at all time.

David Faber (3:10)

It is, but the upper end of the economy has what has been pushing us higher in terms of broad growth, consumer, consumer as well, or at least demand there. That's what it's been. That's what it continues to be. And that is pressure at the low end. We hear it. It's true. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

Jim Cramer (3:31)

No, it doesn't.

David Faber (3:31)

Overall growth of the economy.

Jim Cramer (3:34)

It doesn't. But we have mergers today. We have layoffs taking UPS up. I think that was important for UPS's increase. There'll be layoffs in the Skyworks deal with Corvo.

David Faber (3:45)

Well, they're talking over $500 million in synergies, which could potentially mean some cost savings, which could mean job cuts, yes.

Jim Cramer (3:52)

The staying nimble and continuing to strengthen our organization's piece in Amazon. Beth Gulletti, I'm not familiar with her, but I would say that this piece on Amazon is not one that you want to see if you work at a company.

Carl Quintanilla (4:05)

No, we're convicted that we need to be organized more leanly. Jim, 14,000 jobs as they layer in AI. You mentioned UPS, their total headcount cut for the year will be about 48K. Chegg, much smaller company, cutting 45 percent of their workforce.
