Ruthless Podcast
September 25, 2026
Mary Peltola’s campaign turmoil takes center stage, Lauren Boebert faces a disputed ethics complaint, and Kyrsten Sinema’s affair saga gets even messier. Plus, Fun Time Friday dives into a mask-mandate meltdown at a Massachusetts bar and a Philadelphia activist accused of faking her identity.

Peltola has racked up one of the highest staff turnover rates on Capitol Hill. Do you know how hard that is, by the way?
Michael Duncan (0:06)
She fired a bunch of staff over signs right before the primary.
Josh Holmes (0:10)
Over yard signs.
Michael Duncan (0:11)
Over yard signs. And now we have the New York Times writing about the text messages about the yard signs.
Josh Holmes (0:16)
In another text, quote, I hope she dies of a botched abortion.
Michael Duncan (0:22)
It's like a Mary Peltola campaign slogan. I bully my staff and I'll be a bully for you.
Comfortably Smug (0:28)
I think they want all of this out there.
Michael Duncan (0:33)
Cancer, a life-changing, terrifying diagnosis millions of Americans receive every single year. But thanks to American innovation, patients can fight back and take back control of their lives. Breakthroughs in cancer treatment are delivering for American patients. Therapies that once required long visits to specialized facilities to sit for hours in an infusion chair can be ministered more affordably, quickly, and conveniently in a shot, closer to home. But bureaucrats in Washington are threatening to change that. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, or CMS, quietly proposed a little-known rule called the Fixed Dose Combination Drug Policy. It sounds harmless, but this is a dangerous expansion of Joe Biden's price controls in the Inflation Reduction Act. This policy punishes cancer patients by targeting the faster, less invasive treatments they overwhelmingly prefer with a policy that makes this innovation disappear. There is still time to stop this, but only if you make your voice heard. Tell your Senator to stand up for cancer patients by standing up to Washington bureaucrats. Protect the treatments patients prefer and deserve. Make your voice heard at americancommitment.org/cancer.
That's americancommitment.org/cancer.

The Ruthless Podcast.
Josh Holmes (2:37)
Fun Time Friday. Welcome back to the Ruthless Friday program. I am Josh Holmes, along with comfortably smug Michael Duncan and John Ashbrook, left to right, across your radio dial on this very fun Friday.
If there's a thematic that we have for you today at the risk of exposing the gender divide any further than it is, it's Brod's behaving badly.
Comfortably Smug (3:05)
And you'll see that's accurate.
Josh Holmes (3:07)
Because we didn't do this.
Michael Duncan (3:10)
Yeah.
Josh Holmes (3:10)
They did this.
Michael Duncan (3:11)
Well, I don't think we're being gratuitous at all. I think, in fact, you're underselling it.
Josh Holmes (3:16)
Dude, I mean, you just look at the news and there's like a distinct thematic that comes to the fore. And what that thematic is, is that there's a bunch of women in politics, and it's a bipartisan problem, I might add. Tripartisan, really. There's an independent involved as well.
Where women, they're not sending their best right now. And some headlines have caught the eye. There was a big story in the New York Times.
John Ashbrook (3:43)
Oh, the old great lady.
Josh Holmes (3:44)
Yeah, the great lady, the paper of record about the Alaska Senate race. And unlike basically everything that happens in media in the last 40 days of an election, they took notice of a Democrat candidate and it wasn't to suck the chrome off a bumper. It was to do a little reporting, a report, if they will. And so they've taken a look at this Peltola lady.
Recall, this is the Senate race where Democrats decided to put Douche Dan Sullivan in as a fake Republican to see if they could draw some votes away, which his name is still on the ballot. So they've been up to funny business throughout. But nobody's really taken a dive on this Peltola lady. It was the Democrat. They just keep saying, oh, she's a strong candidate. Everything's good. Look at this. We got a real chance in Alaska. Basically in horse race nonsense from the beginning. Well, the New York Times took a look at that, and they have an article entitled, Angry Outbursts, Slurs and Fire Rings. Tumult Rocks a Key Senate Campaign.
