Coté.

Okay, so we have AI in the mix. There's so much, you know, they say AI is an amplifier. So you and I, we're content creators. Like you make videos, you have newsletters, you have articles. It seems like you're making stuff nonstop. And even before AI, it seemed like you were making stuff nonstop.
Coté (0:20)
It is possible, I've proven it.
Whitney (0:23)
So now that you have AI as an amplifier, what is different? Are you doing more things? Are you doing different things than you ever thought you would? Or some combination thereof?
Coté (0:37)
I think that's it. You know, I don't know if I do more things.
I think the things I do, I do better. And where better is defined by, like...
Whitney (0:53)
I'm laughing at that, because it's some sort of an admission that what you made before was kind of bad.
Coté (0:58)
Yeah, well, in this case, better means it enhances the wrong word. It's enriched.
So, for example, when I used to make show notes for a podcast or a video, I would not, because, like, I would be, like, sick of... By the time that I was to the point where I was making show notes, I would be like, I want to be fucking done with this. All I gotta do is press this button. And so I would just, like, not do it. Whereas now, I can, you know, I can have the robot make five versions of show notes, edit it, and I can pick one, and then I can edit it a little bit. It can, like, gather up all the stuff. It can make, like, chapter indexes of stuff. And it's great. So, like, I have more stuff.
Viktor Farcic (1:42)
You're such a disciplined person. The fact that you're picking up one of those five is amazing to me.
Coté (1:48)
Well, you know, I... Maybe that's left over from when I manually did stuff. Now, you are correct. Sometimes I'm also like, fuck it. And I just, I do a very minimal read over to make sure it's not...
I would say, I'm doing a read over to make sure 30% of my quality control is that it's not terrible. And 70% is that it doesn't say something people will hate me for, I'll get in trouble for, right?
Whitney (2:17)
And so, like, I just realized, too, that there's a third option that I didn't consider, which says more about me than maybe it does about you. But the third option would just be doing what I did normally, but now I have more free time.
Viktor Farcic (2:31)
Does anyone do that?
Whitney (2:32)
Does anyone choose that option?
Coté (2:34)
I think so.
Viktor Farcic (2:36)
I have a better one. Kind of, to me, it's not really about amplifying me or being better in control and all that stuff. It's about being able to say to other people that I depended on, fuck off, I don't need you anymore. I'm willing to accept worse results, but I don't need you anymore.
Coté (2:58)
I was waiting for you to review my PR.
Viktor Farcic (3:00)
Well, thank you, Graptile. Bye-bye.
It's not good, it's better.
Coté (3:07)
I think both of what both of you are saying also applies. And kind of what you're saying, Whitney, is like, is like, I think, let me put it this way, I don't necessarily do more like you're saying, I kind of do the same amount. I just do other stuff that I wasn't doing previously, which sounds like more, but there's a distinction. Like, I'm not necessarily like putting out more episodes or more content. There's just other little side projects and things that I do, that I didn't used to do. Like, B and C tier level stuff.
And then, yes, like our guest, Viktor, is saying, there are a lot of activities that now I guess... Well, I used to tailor my activities already using the Viktor philosophy, which is how could I go through my life with as few human dependencies as possible?
And I think about almost after 30 years of being in IT, I'm highly optimized for that way of operating. And so now, but I think there's still more to be stripped out. There's like, you know, less review processes. There's especially like less waiting on people for things because I can just get the thing. And like, so there's that kind of thing.
Whitney (4:25)
Viktor, will you introduce yourself please first of all, and then tell us how AI has changed the content that you make?
Viktor Farcic (4:32)
Okay, two questions. Introduction. Yes, I'm Viktor. And what was the second?
