Amazon introduces new Kindle, Paperwhite, Colorsoft and entry-level models. We'll talk more about it in moments, but first, in 2024, brain scanning specialist Neuroble teamed up with fancy audio brand Master and Dynamic to launch the MW75 Neuro. It was a pair of high-end headphones equipped with an EEG to help wearers better understand how their mind worked. The partnership would launch a lighter unit, the Neuro LT, addressing user concerns around weight shortly after. But in 2026, Neuroble is launching its technically third pair of premium cans, this time without any outside help. Like its predecessors, Neuroble 1 is designed to keep track of your focus levels through your working day. The unit will monitor your brain waves and attention to identify when you're at your very best. Moreover, it'll tell you when your focus begins to wane and advise you to take a break so you don't pointlessly deplete your energy reserves. You'll also be told what your alpha peak frequency is, which can be used as a broader cognition metric. Nourable One is available to buy today and is priced at $499.
And DJI's Osmo Pocket 4 is a fantastic gimbal camera thanks to features like sharp and color accurate video, awesome stabilization and generous on-board storage. If you want to buy one in the United States though, too bad. It's not officially available due to a ban on certain DJI products. Luckily, there are options.
DJI's main rival Insta360 has the excellent Luna Pro, which offers similar features and video quality. And DJI's original Osmo Pocket 3 is still available and still a fantastic camera. There are also some other choices from the likes of Agfa, which you may have heard of, along with Ordro and SJCam, which you probably haven't. We've tried them all, and we'll show you which ones to buy and which to avoid. Check out Steve Dent's full list of the affordable alternatives to DJI's Osmo Pocket 4 right now at engadget.com.
Amazon has launched new Kindles across all models, and they feature new designs and new colors. The company completely removed the recessed screen found in the entry-level Kindle, giving all versions a flush front display with colors that seamlessly wrap all around its body. Amazon says the new 6-inch Kindle is the most pocket-sized Kindle it has ever made. It's 6.8 millimeters thin, which is a full millimeter thinner than its predecessor and only weighs 140 grams. The device can last for six weeks on a single charge and is 30 percent faster when it comes to opening books compared to the previous entry-level e-reader. You'll get 16 gigabytes of storage with the basic Kindle, which will cost you at least $150 with lock screen ads and will be available in Ube, named after a purple yam from the Philippines and graphite. The entry-level Kindle will also be available in another variant with an aluminum back. Amazon says it has a premium feel, but it comes at the cost of being 20 grams heavier than its non-aluminum sibling.
This e-reader has 32 gigabytes of storage, twice that of the most basic Kindle, and will be available in Alpine Sky Aluminum, and Sea Glass Green Aluminum. Meanwhile, the new Kindle Paperwhite is thinner and lighter than before, but it can last up to 12 weeks on a single charge. It has 16 gigabytes of storage, is still waterproof, and comes with an adjustable warm light. Amazon says it has the largest screen and the highest contrast ratio among all its Paperwhites, so you can read better under bright sunlight. The new Paperwhite, available in graphite, will set you back $200 and above. For $50 or so more, you can get the new Paperwhite Signature Edition, which comes with an aluminum back, 32 gigabytes of storage, auto-adjusting lights, and the capability to double tap to turn pages. It will be available in graphite and sea glass green. Finally, Amazon has redesigned the new Kindle Colorsoft's display so that it has edge-to-edge color and to improve its clarity. You can get the basic Kindle Colorsoft with 16 gigabytes of storage for $290 in graphite. The new Colorsoft Signature Edition comes with aluminum housing, and, like the Paperwhite, has 32 gigabytes of storage, auto-adjusting front light, dock charging, and the ability to turn pages by double tapping. It's available in graphite and fig for a minimum price of $320.
