Fulton Sheen from Peoria to eventually to New York City. America's bishop, as his biographer Thomas Reeves, calls him. I mean, imagine a time in America when a priest would be in the cover of Time Magazine. I don't know if that'll happen again. I mean, that's how influential he was. I love this quote. Moral principles do not depend on a majority vote.

Wrong is wrong, even if everybody is wrong. Right is right, even if nobody is right.

That's the voice of my next guest, Dr. Paul Kengor, on the soon-to-be blessed Fulton Sheen. We'll talk more with him about that as well. Let me sneak one more call in here before we bring Dr. Paul Kengor on. And you can always join the conversation. A lot to get into today. Sue is in San Marcos, California.

She's got a miracle story that Gabby, who's on her phone today, says you have to hear. Hey, Sue, good afternoon.

Thank you for taking my call. This is one of those stories that I just want to shoot from the mountaintops. And it's been many years now. But essentially, it was a faith journey story that started with me having a little boy, a little girl, my husband and I thinking that's perfect. We're happy. We're calling the shots. And that was one of the teachings of the church of artificial birth control that I didn't want to understand. And I asked my husband to get a vasectomy, let him down that path. And he did. And for five years, it worked. It was tested. And then our little boy had to go to First Holy Communion. And I had to go to a parent retreat. I heard a physician, and a physician shared his faith story of not prescribing birth control.

And it planted the seed, and I started to understand. And I searched, and I read Humanae Vitae, and I confronted it. Why does the Church teach this? And I had a complete, really open conversion of, Lord, I'm so sorry for what I've done, where I led my husband. And I was 41 years old at that point. But I did offer a prayer to our Lord, and I said, God, if it were to be Your Holy Will, I would be open to new life. Now, I wasn't planning on changing anything physically. My husband was not Catholic, and I didn't feel I could just change the rules on him.

But three months later, and also I'll have to say, when I said that prayer at 41, and I said, I'd be open to new life if it was Your Will, Lord, I thought, that sounds kind of stupid, Sue. You're 41 years old, your husband's had an asectomy. We're not changing that.

And then I thought, no, God knows the sincere heart. God knows this, that I'm sincere.

And so the long story short of it is, three months later, I was pregnant.

I had no explanation why. Wow.

And then the miracles keep coming because we just knew we were so blessed with this very special gift. And when she, our daughter, Miracle Olivia, was nursing and breastfeeding, and she was 17 months old, I was pregnant once again with a new life. And because my little miracle girl was nursing, it helped me to find a blocked milk duct, which ended up being found to be breast cancer while I was pregnant with my latest.

And I really don't believe we, I do believe that, absolutely, I do. And he went through all the treatment with me.

And the full circle moment is when that physician, who years before helped me to see the faith journey and no artificial birth control. And he came and ministered to me all those years later when I was having my last little baby with cancer and helped me know that it was going to be fine.

And he is perfectly fine. Thank you for sharing that. It's an important message. Maybe somebody listening today needed to hear that, that we should definitely be open to life. And, you know, at 41 years of age to get pregnant, let alone to find yourself going down that pathway, that truly is miraculous, you know. If your husband had a vasectomy for five years, no children, right? And all of a sudden, you make that prayer to the Lord, and the Lord gave you such a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing that. What a great, wonderful story. You know, we could talk all day about these miracles, and if you are in a situation right now, maybe you made a mistake. Ask the Lord, just ask for his forgiveness. And open yourself to his divine will in your life. And know that also, you hear these miracles here, but you always want to be careful, because maybe you're praying, and your prayer has not been answered, right?
