After '60 Minutes,' I See Why People Think Patrick Clancy Is In It for the Money
Fearless with Jason Whitlock
September 21, 2026
Patrick Clancy finally sat down with "60 Minutes" to tell the story America had been waiting months to hear. Instead of the hard interview many expected, Ross Douthat delivered soft questions, careful answers, and an interview that left more questions than answers.

America waited months for Patrick Clancy to sit down with 60 Minutes. Ross Douthat got the chair.
Patrick Clancy got the stage. What we got was soft light and soft questions. Patrick said baby Callan died in his arms. He said he begged God for one kid to live. He said Lindsay told him the killings felt like a dream. He said he forgave her without being asked. He said he had a panic attack on the stand, refused the medications and finished the testimony. He said the TikTok mob is trash. He said he married a fertility doctor and they are starting a family. Every line carried weight on paper. Almost none of it hit like a man who had just buried three children and then watched a courtroom turn their deaths into a national argument. Douthat never pressed the hard scenes. He never locked in on to the night Patrick left Lindsay alone after she told him she had thoughts of harming the kids. He never forced a straight answer on the mistrial, the holdout juror or whether Patrick Clancy still wants a retrial. He treated forgiveness like a virtue signal and left the public with a quiet man reading from a prepared grief script. I was unimpressed, not with the tragedy, with the interview. Patrick came across careful, managed and strangely flat for a father whose name is now welded to the biggest postpartum psychosis fight in the country. 60 Minutes sold Revelation. What aired felt like damage control with better lighting. We're going to talk about that today and I'm very pleased that Turtle Boy, Aiden Kearney has agreed to circle back. We had him on last week. He told us last week about his affinity, not relationship. He doesn't have a relationship with Patrick Clancy, but his support of Patrick Clancy, Turtle Boy, Aiden Kearney has been in the middle of this story. He was one of the first people to reveal the identity of the loan holdout jury.
So we'll talk with Turtle Boy first and get his reflections on the 60 Minutes interview and then we'll bring on Anthony, Shamika and Dre to get their reaction to the 60 Minutes interview.
Turtle Boy, welcome back to the show.
You just heard me say the interview landed kind of flat and boring and scripted to me. How did it come across to you?
Aiden Kearney (3:04)
I thought it came across pretty well because one of the criticisms that they've had of him out there, which by the way, the criticisms of this man, I want to start by saying, are completely unfair because he didn't ask to be put in this spotlight. He didn't ask to be a public speaker. He didn't ask to be put on a national stage. It's not his fault that his three kids were killed by his wife. So for all we know, this guy could just be awkward, a bad public speaker, anything like that. We never know until we get in that position. But I think one of the criticisms of him was that he didn't talk about the kids as much. And like in the clip, in the snippet that 60 Minutes put out, kind of his click beat, he said that he talks to his kids in that, in the, he asked them, what are your kids, what do they tell you?
What do you tell them? And he said, help me. And that was ripped apart by the TikTok mob, help you, why didn't you say I love you? Why didn't you blah, blah, blah? That clip was not aired last night. And that was literally just use his click beat to get you to watch. And when you watched it last night, he talked about his kids the entire time. And he talked about how he saw Cora specifically in his dreams. And one of the most vicious things that they've put out there about him is that he abused her sexually. That is what many on TikTok have said. And it's disgusting. And to me, he came across as human. He might not have cried in front of everybody, but if he had cried, people would have said he's faking it.
There's nothing this guy could do to win over the mob. And it's honestly disgusting when I see what's happened to this guy. After everything he's been through, he didn't kill anybody. He's lost everything. And for him to then be scrutinized by so many people that he's not saying the right thing or he's not acting how he wants you to act, I think is evil and disgusting.
