**John Wall** (0:15)
Good morning, welcome to Marketing Over Coffee. I'm John Wall.

**Christopher Penn** (0:18)
I'm Christopher Penn.

**John Wall** (0:19)
And it's been digging out here. We've had the blizzard of 26 I think everybody's saying this is like as bad as anything that's come before. I actually was out on the periphery, but you were in the heart of it. How bad did it get?

**Christopher Penn** (0:31)
We got a full two feet, got 24 inches, which I guess is what, like 50 centimeters or so for our folks who are on the metric system. But it was crazy. We're still digging out a couple of days later, and we just snowed again today, and it's supposed to snow again in a couple of days. So I would say this, we are certainly stocking up for our spring growing season. We'll have a nice full reservoirs when this all melts.

**John Wall** (0:57)
Yeah, that is one thing. The reservoirs over the past couple of years, they've been a couple of dry summers, but it's not going to be the case. Hopefully, the thing now is, hope it doesn't all thaw over a day and a half or something like that. That could be a huge disaster. So we'll see how that goes. But all right, so be on the weather. Oh, and there is one thing with it too, the On Air Fest, the podcasting festival was this week. And so I'm gonna try and get some info on that. I was actually looking into going down to that and they had a lot of big names and awards and stuff going on, but with the weather being a total disaster, I was like, I'm not gonna get wrapped up in all that. So maybe I'll have more on that hopefully next week for you guys. We'll see where that goes. A bunch of stuff happening in the news. One that caught my eye was Claude Code iOS Integration. How does that kind of change things for you? Does that allow you to automate a lot more of what's going on and has it changed the overall workflow?

**Christopher Penn** (1:48)
So this is something brand new. This is called Claude Code Remote Control is the name of it. And so Claude Anthropec has like a lot of versions of this. There's the desktop app, there's the web app and stuff like that. And there's been Claude Code, the terminal app that you run inside the terminal on your local machine. That's by far the most powerful version is the least user-friendly version. However, it's where all the good stuff is, the ability for it to have your MCPs and your agents and your skills and all that stuff. If you've used Claude Co-work, that's like 60% of the power of Claude with 0% of the technical overhead. So that's definitely the one we recommend for people who are not technical. But if you are more technically savage, you're not afraid of a terminal window, Claude Code is the way to do it. And up until now, you've been working on Claude Code, like on your laptop or whatever doing stuff. And then, you have to go and make dinner or whatever and things. And your laptop is sitting there with the terminal window open. You're like, well, I got to go either bring my laptop to the kitchen while I'm making dinner or something like that. Well, Remote Control is this new feature where you trigger the Remote Control inside your terminal window. And then in the Claude Code app on desktop, on web or critically on your mobile device, you can see your Claude Code terminal work in the mobile app. It basically allows the mobile app to remotely connect to your terminal session. Now you have to do this on a per session basis, so it's not open all the time.
And you have to enable, I have to say, I want this session to be remote control. And the moment you cancel it turns off. So from a security perspective, obviously do not leave it on all the time. But it is so cool because you can have Claude Code in the terminal on your machine open. You have to leave your machine on for it. And then in the mobile app or wherever, you can sit there and say, I just give it directions, right? So I will stick my phone to my refrigerator magnetically, and I will be like, oh yeah, I do this next and stuff. And on my computer, when I come back to my desk, there's all the work that I dictated to the mobile app in my local window, and as though I were sitting at it, which is just incredible. So it is a huge thing for anyone who is using Claude Code, even if you're not using it to code. And I think that's something that a lot of people miss. Claude Code is not just about coding. For example, I have it connected to my Asana, to my Google Calendar, to our HubSpot instance, to Jira. And I have a command in there. I say, give me my daily briefing. And it goes and pulls all the data from all the systems and says, hey, Chris, here's your daily briefing. Here's what you got to do today. Here's what's coming up the next couple of days. Not a coding thing, but it's sort of like the central nervous system now for pretty much all of my work.
