Terence (0:49)

Good old humor.

Haresh (0:51)

Good old humor, man.

Terence (0:52)

So, Haresh, you're not address the elephant in the room.

Haresh (0:55)

Yeah.

Terence (0:55)

Why are you decked out in such festive colors?

Haresh (0:58)

It's two elephants in the room.

Terence (1:00)

Yeah.

Haresh (1:00)

Because so are you. If you're listening, you might want to pop over or turn on video because you'll see Terence and I are very proudly wearing jerseys of the Singapore National Football Team. Because it is Friday, 2nd October. Yesterday, they played a game with a result that, I mean, not ideal.

A bit shocking. They lost 6-0 to Malaysia. But in the spirit of like these boys, you know, they've done a lot. We just want to show support because it's very easy to shit on them now.

Terence (1:33)

Yeah, yeah. It's like back in the days when Man U lost like 6-2 to Man City, right?

Haresh (1:40)

Yeah, they lost 7-0 to Liverpool.

Terence (1:42)

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you wear your jersey the day after or not?

Haresh (1:44)

I didn't even have the jersey. No, I did reflect though. And like, for a club that you are, okay, you have nostalgia and all, you dissociate from them, yeah, you can argue. I know you would say I'm a fair weather fan. It was very traumatic.

But with Singapore, I feel at this point in time, we cannot give up. It's just one game. Come on, come on, boys. It's just one game.

Terence (2:08)

Yeah, and this was completely uncoordinated. I think both of us brought this water jerseys to the office and all that. Yeah, because I just felt like yesterday was pretty traumatic watching the game and seeing everything as it unfolded. But at the same time, at least up to a certain point in the game, at least until two or three goals. There were chances and there was fight. There was still some fight from the Singapore team.

I think I didn't want to take anything away from Malaysia as well. You know, people say Singapore, wow, defense.

I mean, the Malaysians played a pretty solid game and their finishing was on point. What can I say? You know, some of the shots that were going in, of course, some were tap ins, but there were some that were really like, wow, you know, like bangers that I don't think anybody could have stopped. They were the best goalkeepers in the world and all that. So, I didn't want to take anything from the Malaysian side and just understand that, you know, this whole thing is a long process. We had Gavin on recently and he talked about, it's just a process and these things do happen, right? Yeah.

Haresh (3:12)

And now is the easiest time to go back to that, just complaining and shitting on them. I mean, I'm seeing some posts already, but yeah, it's just an off day.

We still have the end goal of the Asia Football Championships in Saudi in January. I mean, of course, you think about it, if they lost to Malaysia 6-0, if they played Iraq and Australia, both of whom were at the World Cup, what will it be like? But it's just an off day. I mean, when you have off days, I also am very compassionate towards you. And I realized that, okay, this is just an off day for Terence. He'll bounce back. If there's another off day, I've gotten used to it.

Terence (3:49)

Hard to think of an example specifically. Other than, I can't remember the last time there was an off day, as such.
