**Hammer** (0:00)
You're listening to the Hammer and Nigel Show. Hammer, were you as outraged and as amputlectic as I was when they fired, when CBS decided to rid themselves of national treasure and host Scott Pelley? Were you just, I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I was, I had to sit down.
It was like when Fox News jettisoned Tucker Carlson.
**Nigel** (0:27)
Was it?
**Hammer** (0:28)
It was, I just, I had to sit down. I had to take a deep breath. So was it the same for you with Scott Pelley, the host of or one of the hosts, one of the journalists for 60 Minutes?
**Nigel** (0:41)
As I said on my Newsmax hit on Friday, nobody loves the smell of their own gas more than the host of 60 Minutes. Nobody feels wafting, wafting like they are God's gift to the Earth. Not just journalism, but to the Earth, like these ridiculous, pompous, arrogant, egotistical jack wagons from 60 Minutes.
And Scott Pelley was the worst. He was the captain. So he did this interview since his departure, his firing from 60 Minutes.
**Hammer** (1:17)
He was petulant about all the changes that were going on at CBS and made it known and Bari Weiss, the president now of CBS. She said, All right, bye.
**Nigel** (1:27)
Right. You ripped your boss publicly.
**Hammer** (1:31)
Yes.
**Nigel** (1:31)
And then you were shocked that you didn't have a job the next day. Well, that tells me you haven't been in the workforce, you know, the real workforce in a while. So Scott Pelley was asked, you know, how.
Many people think that 60 Minutes is bias because he's talking about this first meeting that he had with Barry Weiss and Scott Pelley is so oblivious, he had no idea, people thought everybody at 60 Minutes were a group of butt sniffers.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:02)
What was the feeling about that particular opening salvo to the team?
**Scott Pelley** (2:09)
Uh-oh.
She, I am told, said something to the effect of why do you think the country thinks you're biased. But she didn't offer any kind of a metric. You know, what's your metric? Why do you think so?
Do you have a poll? Is there market research? What are you talking about? Because we certainly didn't believe that.
**Hammer** (2:34)
You didn't? Really? Go back to the pay for play, the vaccines in Publix in Florida and Ron DeSantis back in 2020 and the deceptive editing. And that's where 60 Minutes.
I mean, I know they lost credibility long before that. Boy, that whole look that Google that Scott Pelley. And I know that wasn't your story, but still, I mean.
**Nigel** (2:58)
And how do you not know? Like when Trump was talking about the fake news, you're a part of that. Like people were chanting at Trump's rallies, fake news.
You are a part of that. Do you not go online? Like, what do you do? What would you say you do as a host at 60 Minutes other than to sniff the smell of your own farts? Other than that, what would you say you do? And this is how over the top Pelley is. Again, he was the worst.
He compares his job as a journalist to a soldier fighting in a war.
**Scott Pelley** (3:35)
No, I've never worn the uniform. But I've been in combat for this country. In Afghanistan and Iraq, Kuwait, I've been shot at.
Spent nights in foxholes, filling up with water in the desert. I'm not aware that the president of the United States has ever done any of those things for his country. You become a journalist because you love the First Amendment.
You become a journalist because you love the country. There is no democracy without journalism.
**Nigel** (4:19)
Nigel, it looks like you're about to have an aneurysm over there. It can't be done.
**Hammer** (4:22)
I was about to pop a blood vessel right out of my forehead. That vein that goes down the middle of my forehead. I've been in foxholes before. You were not, you were protected, dude.
You were not in any way, shape or form. You said it at the beginning of your diatribe. I'm not in the military, but I was in foxholes and stuff.
**Nigel** (4:43)
I've been shot at.
**Hammer** (4:44)
I've been shot. No, you haven't.
**Nigel** (4:46)
A bunch of people on Monument Circle have been shot at. Does it mean they're representing this country?
**Hammer** (4:50)
Was he really trying to liken himself to US military?
**Nigel** (4:55)
He thinks he's somebody that's a freedom fighter. Now, I sent this to one of my buddies that served in Iraq, and I wanted his response. This is what I got back. You weren't in combat, you dumbass.
