SPEAKER_1 (0:30)
We have arrived.
SPEAKER_2 (2:06)
Hi, baby gorgeous.
Ben Mandelker (2:10)
Hi, Minnesota, how are you? Yes. Oofta.
How's it going, everyone? Thank you for coming to our humble show Watch What Crappens.
Ronnie Karam (2:32)
I'm just making sure our little soundboard is turned on. It's very important.
SPEAKER_5 (2:36)
Very important.
Ronnie Karam (2:38)
Wow. What a woody day of No Kings.
I just opened my iPad for notes. I don't even know how this got on there. What Trump's waiver of new Russia sanctions means.
SPEAKER_7 (2:54)
Get the fuck off my iPad.
SPEAKER_5 (2:55)
I don't even look at you.
Ben Mandelker (2:57)
By the way, it's also a very particularly wonderful No Kings protest day for Bravo fans because we literally just got our tagline for all of our signs. Hypocrisy and bullshit, bullshit, bullshit.
SPEAKER_2 (3:11)
Hypocrisy.
Ben Mandelker (3:17)
I- It's working. Thank you, Wade. I dropped by that protest today, which was great. And, but more importantly, I've been in Minnesota for about 36 hours, which is even better. My friend, Nikki and Jodie right here. Hi.
They did something very important for me, which was they took me to the Mall of America.
It was, it was like a life stream come true. I mean, just stores upon stores. It's like Claire's and KB Toys and who knows what else? It just was heavenly.
SPEAKER_6 (4:00)
And they can't kill Claire's, can they?
Ronnie Karam (4:03)
They've tried to kill Claire's for years. I heard Claire's was going out of business years ago. Still there.
Ben Mandelker (4:10)
Do you know, I looked at my watch today to see how many steps I walked yesterday. It literally said I walked five miles at the Mall of America. But of course, no Mall of America experience would be complete without going on a roller coaster.
So, Nikki was like, come on, we got to do roller coaster. I was like, okay. So, we did the fairly odd parents coaster.
So, Ronnie, you were unfortunately not there. But the way that this coaster is, is that you get in and it's four people. Two sitting like this, like me and Ronnie. I was sitting here, Nikki was there. And then, there was a very weary, exhausted mother right here and an eight-year-old child directly in front of me. And we're all looking at each other. She also mentioned that the line was almost 70 percent eight-year-old children. So, I'm like, okay, this will be like a fun like little coaster, whatever. So, we're like going up. We're going up the thing, you know. And I'm like, oh, this will be fun. And then, it goes like around the bend. And I swear to God, I start going, ah! And I started screaming.
SPEAKER_9 (5:19)
And I was like, ah!
Ben Mandelker (5:20)
And like at one point, you know, it would twist you all around.
SPEAKER_10 (5:23)
And at one point, I just go, holy shit!
Ben Mandelker (5:26)
And the kids like right in front of me, I go, I'm so sorry. And this, and the mom on the roller coaster goes, he's cool. It was really fun. So, Mall of America, what a time to be alive.
Ronnie Karam (5:40)
I like that you specified a weary, exhausted mother.
Ben Mandelker (5:44)
She was just sitting there like mm-hmm. She's like, I've done this right 10 times today.
Ronnie Karam (5:49)
If you're not weary and exhausted as a mother, you're not doing it right.
Ben Mandelker (5:54)
That's right.
SPEAKER_6 (5:56)
Your child is on drugs or something, downers.
Ronnie Karam (5:59)
I did something really gay while he was there. Well, the night before, don't worry, it wasn't involving penises.
SPEAKER_6 (6:06)
There's a husband right down there.
Ronnie Karam (6:09)
I'm assuming, sorry.
I went to see Cynthia Arrivo in concert in Los Angeles, and I went with my gaggle of gays. And we turned to each other at one point and said, this is the gayest shit we've ever done. And we've had penises in her mouth. She opened with Barbara Streisand and closed with Whitney. And every, I was like, this girl has some talent. And she's also got an amazing amount of confidence. She, I was like, oh my God, I love her and she loves her 10 times more than me.
SPEAKER_6 (6:49)
I was amazed.
Ronnie Karam (6:52)
And she has this, you know, beautiful accent, you know. And she'll start singing something just so heart-wrecking, you know, she'll be like, ooh, John, hello, John.
SPEAKER_11 (7:06)
God is good to see you.
Ronnie Karam (7:08)
Ooh, Joanne, is that you? Joanne, did you get new hair?
Can I cry without you saying hello to somebody in the audience?
