#3569 RHONY S16E5 Part Two: Dunce On This Island
Watch What Crappens
October 7, 2026
This is part 2 of a 2-part recap Erica, who apparently is a cast member on The Real Housewives of New York, invites the ladies to her private island. Well, the island that she owns a house on. Or rather, the island that she shares with a bunch of people who all own houses on it together.

Hello and welcome to Watch What Crappens, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo that we just love to talk about. This is part two of the recap. If you missed part one, go check out your podcast feed, it's right there. And without further ado, let's get right back into the recap.
Ronnie Karam (0:34)
The one that was really in the most dire straits was Carole, because she's like trying to be a hipster. She's like, but I brought socks.
Ben Mandelker (0:44)
Yeah.
Erica is so excited about this. And because she's probably saw it on TV. She probably saw it on Love Island. It's like, I want to do that too. And by the way, also the poor staff has to go out there and set this pool in the water. Everyone has to get wet. It's just, I hate it. I hate it.
Ronnie Karam (1:03)
Yeah, Erica sells a kind of basic, like a basic B from just TV shows that she's watched. She's like, I love Taco Bells. Very like Vanderpump rules, you know, nine years ago or whatever. Or like, we're gonna have this thing in a pool. Or like, I'm so cool.
SPEAKER_3 (1:20)
Like, I just shop online.
Ronnie Karam (1:22)
I'm basic. She's trying to really oversell the basic thing. She's like stossing.
She's trying to like stossy. So, she just, her going around telling everyone they have to eat in the pool is pretty funny because everyone gets like their own little scene. And we get to Jessel and she goes, so Jessel, I think you've gotta get rid of your shoes. And she's like, rid of my shoes? Like, just don't wear shoes.
SPEAKER_3 (1:52)
Don't wear shoes, but that's part of my look.
Ronnie Karam (1:55)
But I mean, they're like plastic, so they could be fine.
SPEAKER_3 (1:58)
They're not plastic, they're lucite.
Ben Mandelker (2:02)
Like, lucite, a brand name for a clear, durable acrylic plastic.
I love when Jessel is disgusted. The look she gets on her face, like, she does something with like her upper, she like curls her upper lip up. She's like, ugh, and she just sort of like, she pushes her head back into her neck and she just looks like, she's just horrified.
Ronnie Karam (2:21)
Grunt us her nose and gives you her teeth, like her upper teeth, she's like.
Ben Mandelker (2:26)
She did it like 10 times this episode, it was great.
Ronnie Karam (2:30)
By the way, I accidentally called Carole Carolyn. She's like, oh my God, I know, that's pretty bad.
SPEAKER_3 (2:35)
It's pretty bad.
Ronnie Karam (2:37)
She went red in the face and I just said, oh shit. She's like, oh my God, Jessel. Well, I mean, they are similar names. When I walked into Erin and Daisy's room, there was like really weird vibes. I'm not really sure what's going on in there.
Ben Mandelker (2:51)
Yeah, because when Erica went in to tell them, she's like, Erin just goes, uh-huh, because Erin's mad at her because, you know, Erica was part of the insurance fraud joking. She's like, uh-huh. And then Daisy was like, mm-hmm. So she's like, yeah, I don't know what's going on down there, but I'm glad you guys are more fun about it. And then we go to Erin and Daisy's room and they're whispering, they're sitting outside. And even though I can't stand Erin, I do love this kind of whisper moment because Erin's like, I'm not even impressed by this. Like not even this much. Am I missing something? And Daisy goes, Martha would think this is a dump.
Which by the way, I don't think this place is a dump, but I did love like, I've definitely had those moments before when I've been with someone I've been like, this place sucks, right? Like, can we say that this place sucks? So I did like that.
Ronnie Karam (3:49)
Yeah, but it's just people being snotty. I mean, I get why Erin's doing it because she heard this stuff, you know, about, you know, basic lady. But Daisy, it's just like, just because you work for a rich person does not make you a rich person. And I know that she's aware of that, you know, they're like, wow, I'm rich. So now I think I'm rich, but I'm not really rich. It's like, I don't know, there's like a certain earned snobbery that you really haven't earned.
Ben Mandelker (4:19)
I 100% agree. I'm not saying I think that they're right.
I just liked the, I liked the vibe of the scene because I feel like I've had, I feel like I've had moments like that before with someone where you're at like some party that doesn't have the food and you're sort of on the side, you're like, this party sucks, right? Like I, so I enjoyed, I enjoyed what the scene was representing, but I also felt like Daisy, I was like, Daisy, come on now. Like you're on a, you're on a beautiful island in a, in a nice mansion. It may not be like a designer mansion, but it's still really, really nice. Like you're just being, you guys are just being you're just catty, like you said.
