Hello and welcome to Watch What Crappens, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo that we just love to talk about. This is part two of the recap. If you missed part one, go check out your podcast feed. It's right there. And without further ado, let's get right back into the recap.

So she was like, well, clearly, Nene's peaceful because look how great she looks and stuff. I was like, well, yeah, peace. Doctor, you know, doctors.
She has really good worth as well. I was like, yep, that peace. And they're like, hallelujah to peace. So they're all giving Nene her flowers for making Atlanta such a success. What are we going to say?

**Ben Mandelker** (0:55)
Yeah, I was going to say, I mean, she actually does look she does look lighter and happier. And I have to wonder in retrospect, you know, when Nene when Nene ended her tenure, she was in a really bitter place. She was unpleasant.
She had a few years, though, with there where it's like, oh, Nene, it's like this. She's like she's become like a monster. She's like just a diva. It's too annoying. But it actually makes me reflect that she was also dealing with like the fact that her husband had cancer. And that was probably, I think now that I'm older and I'm a little bit wiser, and you know, unfortunately, you just sort of know people that are going through stuff a little bit more. I think I have an awareness that like, she probably had a lot on her plate emotionally that was coming off like that. And I think now that Greg has passed, like, you know, hopefully she's been able to now sort of like move forward in a, like into a happier chapter where that stress is not weighing on her. And so I feel like we're kind of seeing that with her coming back on the show, if that makes sense.

**Ronnie Karam** (2:05)
Yeah, we'll see. Well, it's like we were talking about a while back, probably every episode of this, but you see the clip in the first episode, well, not even the clip, you see Nene shooting that first scene with Portia in the first episode. And it's like, oh my God, any complaints I had, just put them away because she's so much, like she's so much energy and fun. She makes it so much fun that I'm like, I don't even care. Like bring back even all the negativity if you need to, just come back, just come back. It's like, you don't appreciate it as much until it's gone. Now that all said, she was going through a lot, but she was also a lot to deal with. Like it was getting really, you know, but people go through that in real life. I still want her back.

**Ben Mandelker** (2:53)
Yeah.

**Ronnie Karam** (2:53)
But I guess everyone else gets to go through stuff and have bad seasons here and there. Yeah.

**Ben Mandelker** (2:59)
I guess what I'm just trying to say is I don't think that I personally as a viewer, gave her enough grace for the fact that she was probably in the darkest period of her life during those seasons there. And that's really, really hard. And so yeah, I kind of like take it all back. I think that like, you know, I would be shocked if Nene doesn't come back for next season of Atlanta. I feel like this is like the test ground. They're testing it out, getting their feelers out there. So I think it's what the audience wants.

**Ronnie Karam** (3:30)
Well, I'll tell you what I want. I want to talk to Nene and have some kind of a mess.
So let me say something, Nene. You ran into Karen and she's like, Oh yeah, I did in Beverly Hills. And you told her beat up Giselle.
What was that about? Yeah Giselle, because if someone's watching the season and you're being a dick to Karen all season and Nene's watching the season, unlike Vicky, then Nene's going to say, Oh, hi Karen. Hope you beat up Giselle. She's giving you a lot of shit.
Leave it to Giselle to be like, you told her to beat me. You told Harpo to beat me, Nene. What do you say about that?

**Ben Mandelker** (4:09)
I kind of felt like this was Giselle marking some territory, saying like, it's cool that you're back, but since you've been gone, some other alphas have come around. And I'm just showing, do I care about this? No, but I'm also showing, I'm not afraid to confront you about something. It's small, but I'm just showing, I'm willing to do this. That's to me how I read that.
