#3503 RHOA S17E19: No Lies Detected

Watch What Crappens

August 17, 2026

Part 2 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion is all about Pinky’s bankruptcy and lie detectors.  Apparently everyone has slept with married men outside the show, and no one wants to apologize about it.
Speakers: Ben Mandelker, Ronnie Karam

Topics: TV & Film

Watch What Crappens Hello and welcome to Watch What Crappens, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo we just love to talk about. I'm Ben Mandelker, and joining me today is Ronnie Karam. Hi Ronnie, how's it going?

**Ronnie Karam** (0:33)
Good, how's everything going with you, baby?

**Ben Mandelker** (0:36)
Fabulous, the beginning of a very exciting week for us that is going to culminate in us both doing some fun talks with other people. This coming Sunday, you will be doing a boat thing, a boat event with Hannah Ferrier and Daisy from Below Deck, and that's gonna be up in the Bay Area, so I hope everyone joins for that cruise and hangout sesh. That'll be super fun. And I'm gonna be here in Hollywood in conversation with Martin Sorge, who I've been accidentally calling Martin Sorge, but it's Sorge, to discuss his new cookbook, Great Bakes at Friends and Family, a wonderful spot in Hollywood that you should come listen to. Those will both be on Sunday, the 23rd, is that? I believe that's the date. It's this Sunday coming up.
Tickets for The Cruise, you can go to Hannah or Daisy's Instagrams. Tickets for this Book Talk thing, go to Now Serving LA on Instagram, and you'll get all your stuff. But join us, because these are just fun, extracurricular activities we're both doing. And that'll be great. And by the way, speaking of Below Deck, something I keep on forgetting to mention, and I really will mention this again on our Below Deck recap this week, is that The Fish Report now lives on, and if you want to see it on our YouTube channel, go check it out on YouTube. There's a Fish Report playlist. So if you want to relive our feelings on many fish, or if you just never saw it in the first place, if you want to see The Fish Report, it's on our YouTube, which you should be subscribed to. Last but not least, we have Amazon Live later today. Hopefully you catch it in time, where this goes up in time. If not, we're there.
And we do that every Monday at 1.3 West Coast time, 4.3 East Coast time. So that's that. Reunion, part two. What'd you think, Ronnie?

**Ronnie Karam** (2:23)
This show's so funny.
I love Atlanta. Reunions are always hilarious. And they go at each other so hard, and then they're laughing with each other, and then they go at each other really hard again, and they go really low. It's like, your mama's a hoe. Or whatever. And then they're all cracking up and laughing and like dancing to Cynthia's new song, which I mean, of course. A bunch of new Housewives of music has come out this year too, which I'm grateful for.

**Ben Mandelker** (2:51)
By the way, how did they not have that song available on streaming right away? Because I went to look it up. I was like, I'm adding this. Wasn't there? Couldn't find it. Ha!
But yeah, I agree. So funny. Usually the second episode in a reunion can be a little bit like lesser. It's usually they come out of the gate strong in episode one, and big with episode three, and the middle episode is where they sort of deal with storylines that are not as important or not as interesting or whatever. It's like the bridge.

**Ronnie Karam** (3:20)
The more boring storylines.
And they did stick to tradition because this was the Pinky episode. And I was like, oh my God, poor Pinky really got shoved in the second hour. But it was still a very entertaining hour.

**Ben Mandelker** (3:34)
It was hilarious. I thought it was funnier than the first hour, personally. I mean, I was cracking up. Also, by the way, I think Pinky has been a great addition to this season. And I think that she doesn't quite get enough credit. I think people like her.
I think that at the beginning of the season, I think a lot of the attention was on K. Michelle and a lot of talk was about K. Michelle and people were like, Pinky tries hard, yada, yada, yada. I think Pinky holds her own. I think she's very funny. I think she's flawed, but we need them to be flawed. And I think she's a great find. I think that she and K. Michelle really have brought the show to life. And rumors are that Shamia is out. I don't know if that's true or not.
I genuinely feel bad for Shamia. I think she is out of her element and I feel like you can see her just not knowing what to do. Like she does, she's just like at her wits end. And I just feel like she needs to go reclaim her mental health somewhere else, because I feel like the show is going to destroy her.
