Welcome back to Something Major. We're going to talk about the round four results, quarterfinals. Let's get ready to start. Let's get this going.

**SPEAKER_2** (0:07)
Jack, John, Stevie and Sam got close a few times, never won a slam, nothing major.

**John Isner** (0:13)
All right, everyone, welcome back to Something Major. Before we begin, I had some mic issues early on in this episode. So if it sounds pretty poor in the beginning, and then sounds much better afterwards, it's because I finally figured out what was going on. I didn't figure it out, the suits at SIFT did. Thank you, SIFT.
They fixed it and that's it. Thank you.

**Stevie Johnson** (0:35)
You're welcome.

**John Isner** (0:36)
All right, welcome back to Something Major. It's a two-man show today, myself, John Isner and Stevie Johnson. Sam Querrey is currently on ESPN, calling the Zverev-Lehechka match. Clearly, he does not care about this podcast, because if he did, he would tell ESPN that he's got bigger fish to fry, and that's Something Major, the fourth episode of this fortnight, but he doesn't care. Anyways, no Sam today. We apologize about that. Probably won't be as funny because he is just completely ridiculous. One more disclaimer.
Sorry, Stevie, before you go on. My mic is not working at all, so if the audio sucks, I apologize.
That's just what we're dealing with right now. Just not working. But Stevie, you're about to say something. I think you're about to say something about Sam.

**Stevie Johnson** (1:30)
About Sam. Look, he just does something every day that is just mind-blowing, quite frankly.
And it's not like he's going out of his way to do it. He just does it. For all those Curb Your Enthusiasm fans out there, he's Larry David. In real life, he's Larry David. He just finds a way in certain situations to just be Sam. There's really no other way to explain it. You guys keep hearing about it every episode. Something new happens. He's not trying to tell Martin Fuksevich to retire. He just thought he was.

**John Isner** (1:59)
He's Larry.

**Stevie Johnson** (2:00)
Yeah, he's Larry. It is what it is.

**John Isner** (2:03)
We're glad everyone in the last couple of years has gotten to know this side of Sam, which we've known it for 20 years now. He's absurd. He's an alien. Anyways, enough about Sam. Let's talk about Wimbledon, Stevie.
It's heating back up there. I'm sure all the flats around town are just boiling, especially those third, third, those three story flats up on the third floor, like the hottest places ever. Temperatures in southwest London hit 93 degrees Fahrenheit today. And also in an annual Wimbledon tradition, when it gets really hot, you had fans passing out.

**Stevie Johnson** (2:40)
Yeah.

**John Isner** (2:40)
Some of the Brits don't handle the heat very well. But it could play a role going forward. We shall see. But it's hot again. It was hot in the practice week, like extremely record breaking hot. Not quite as hot now, but the heat could play a role. But let's get into the men's draw. As mentioned, Zverev, Lehechka are going on right now.
Zverev won the first set.
Sam's on that call. But let's talk about Novak, the goat, who lead the show. I feel like we should always lead the show with him. Can we lead the show with Roger?

**Stevie Johnson** (3:14)
How smooth is he back? Oh, complete. How smooth is Roger? Just walks in and just, it's gotta be a cool feeling. Good point, Stevie. Just always dressed perfectly. Everything's just tailored.

**John Isner** (3:25)
He doesn't miss with this suit.

**Stevie Johnson** (3:27)
It's just cool. Especially coming back to a tournament he won a million times, it's gotta be a great feeling. And he's the only one in the Royal Box right now watching Zverev. There's three people in there during this match, which is crazy.
And he's front row.

**John Isner** (3:38)
Going with like a brownish suit today. Doesn't matter what he wears. You're exactly right. But he looks smooth as ever. Is it smooth walk, that smooth gait about him? He does look as good as ever.
Yeah, it was such a bummer the way he went out in his last Wimbledon match, you know? His knee failed him.

**Stevie Johnson** (3:59)
He was 6-0 to Hubie in like the fourth.

**John Isner** (4:01)
6-0 to Hubie. He couldn't move.

**Stevie Johnson** (4:04)
Yeah, that is a bummer.
But I feel like he's okay. He's going to be okay.

**John Isner** (4:08)
Yeah, he's doing just fine. He's going to be okay, everyone. But he did get the proper Wimbledon send off in my mind.
