He's a mythological figure from the beginning, later historicized, and completely on prophecy.
SPEAKER_2 (0:06)
If what you're saying is true, this would be the greatest conspiracy in all of human history.
Adam Green (0:09)
Which one of you will be gullible enough to believe these ancient Jewish stories that he's real? That's how I see it.
SPEAKER_2 (0:14)
I understand that you see it that way.
Sean Kelly (0:16)
God showed up in my life when I was 26 years old and told me something that nobody ever knew except me.
Adam Green (0:22)
So you want to share that, share that with us? What did he tell you? Jewish messiah died in a blood magic ritual sacrifice and that you're going to go to heaven if you believe in that one day. Like that's...
The Bible, Yeshua HaMashiach, the Bible is not the word of God. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER_2 (0:46)
All right. Well, first, I feel like, man, so many great things have been said. I think we're going to have a lot of fun together.
The first thing, because you mentioned with Adam and Eve, right? Let's go back there really quick.
Because you talked about God creating Adam in the Garden already knowing that he was going to make this mistake, that was going to cause the entire world to collapse, right? I just want, this is almost more, I think for the Christians that are listening or others, but this is an insightful thing. There's a story of David in 1 Samuel where he's going up to fight Kyla. And he asks of the Lord, shall I go and attack the Philistines? And the Lord says, go. And David's men go and they take the city. And this is while Saul is pursuing him during those years. And it came about when it was told Saul that David had come to Kyla, Saul said, God has delivered him into my hand. And Saul summoned the people for war. Now David knew that Saul was plotting, and he asked for the priest to essentially bring the ephod. And David said, Oh, God of Israel, it's certain that Saul is seeking for me. Will the men of Kyla surrender me into his hand? Will Saul come down just as your servant has heard? So will they surrender me and will Saul come down? And the Lord said, he will come down.
And David said, well, the men of Kyla surrendered me and my men into the hand of Saul. And the Lord said, they will surrender you. So Saul will come down after you. And the people in the city where they've just taken will surrender him to Saul when he lays siege.
Then David and his men, about 600, arose and departed from Kyla and they went wherever they could go. When it was told Saul that David had escaped from Kyla, he gave up the pursuit. David stayed in the wilderness in strongholds and remained in the hill. And Saul sought him every day, but God did not deliver him. So essentially this is showing God asks something of the Lord. The Lord tells David that, yes, this will happen, and when this happens, this also will happen. And so David's like, all right, I'm going to head out. And Saul gives up the pursuit, and the people of Kyla do not give them into his hands. And it actually addresses both both of the questions. There's both of an answer. This did not happen. This did not happen. Essentially, just to show kind of an interesting way that actually, in my opinion, when I see time, I see it kind of like branches. And it's almost like God, for my opinion of my understanding of God, God can see the multiple branches of time. If you do this, then this. If you make this decision, then this. So in my opinion, there is potentially a reality where Adam and Eve may have, there may have been many generations, but potential lots of generations before any actual sin or rebellion existed, and that there was actually supposed to be more of a, you know.
Adam Green (3:13)
Many generations with all of the carnivorous animals just eating grass, being vegans?
SPEAKER_2 (3:19)
Uh, potentially. That's a conversation.
SPEAKER_4 (3:21)
Do you believe in evolution?
SPEAKER_2 (3:23)
Not in Darwinian evolution. I would say I believe in adaptation, like microevolution, like you adapt to the environment which you're in, which is why some people have darker skin and some people have lighter skin, and the beaks changed of the birds of the Darwin species.
Adam Green (3:35)
Macroevolution is just microevolution on a greater scale though.
SPEAKER_2 (3:39)
See, but that's change of kind.
