Today I want to welcome Joel Thomas. He is a singer, songwriter, podcaster and cryptid hunter. In 2024, he started the Free the Rabbits podcast under Merkle Media.

I'm doing great, man. It's great to have you. Today, we're going to get into a presentation from your research surrounding the secret agent side of Aleister Crowley, which I actually know very little about. I've done episodes discussing other aspects of his life, so really looking forward to learning all about this side of him. We can definitely connect Crowley with playing a huge part in creating much of the degeneracy that we see today from his toxic contributions.

I really love this. Can't wait to get into it. Before we do, this is your first time on. Tell us just a little bit about yourself and let the audience know how they can find more.

Yeah, my name is Joel Thomas. I host a podcast called Free the Rabbits. I've been doing that for a little over two years now. It's under the Merkle Media family, and that's Tony Merkle over at the Confessionals.

Been working with him for about five years. We do documentaries, a host of stuff.

I've also got a podcast with Isaac Weishaupt called The Quarter Quell. It comes out every three months. We just put out an episode on the Debt Internet a few days ago, updated version, 2026 We delved into a lot of the aspects of what's going on with that, and tying it into like Mimetic Magic and some of these other things that are interesting.

I'm a musician as well. I've been doing music longer than I ever podcasted. I never really thought I'd ever podcast. I met Tony through music. That was the crazy thing. He was introduced to my music through a producer, and then he contacted me, and then we ended up blinking up, and then I ended up getting into podcasting because all these topics. I've studied for years, man. It's funny to me watching the conspiracy world change so much since when I was a kid, because I grew up very open minded with my family. So I was looking into the Bermuda Triangle and Bigfoot when I was five, six years old. So for me, I just watched the ebbs and flows change so much. And where I'd say in the past 10 years, and maybe a little less, but probably 10 years is a good barometer. It really went from, hey, we're all presenting these ideas and we don't really know what's going on, to it getting real toxic and everybody's got everything figured out. And if you don't like my brand of conspiracy, then you're not part of my club. It's super weird. I never really saw anything like it until the past 10 years. And I think a lot of it has to do with social media. You see that not just in conspiracies, but everything else too. And that was one of the reasons I started Free the Rabbits was to encourage people that, yeah, it's cool to go down these rabbit holes and find information that obviously can help you see what's going on with the world around you. But also, man, you got to go outside and touch some grass, man. You got to live your life. You got to connect to people and live a life. You know what I mean? And you can't just live in this cage that they really want you in. And I think that's what they really want you to do, live in so much fear that you're not really living your life. And I feel like that that was my purpose in the podcast. And obviously, you know, my connection to God and, you know, the path that God lays out for us too in that aspect. So I think that when you kind of live free in that, then you don't really let all this stuff bother you so much. And that's really the long and short of it, man. That's kind of where it all brought me to where I'm at now.
