Well, let me put it this way, I didn't change anything. I hate opening that MIDI sound settings thing. It just freaks me out. You got a piano icon.

I do. I do love pianos. But you know what it is, John? Oh my God, this is so weird. You said something about Fontier Mover recently, which I think was such an epic model for how to do a thing on a computer at the time. I got to tell you, when I open something on a modern Mac OS, and I see weird, slightly rounded pulldown menus that haven't been updated in a while.
I don't know why, but you don't talk. I don't know if you know what I mean. But aesthetically, I don't know if they've updated it recently, but every time I go into that thing, the first thing that grabs me apart from the piano is that there's these pulldown menus that usually to me signal that I'm currently in area that has two interesting things about it. It's absolutely mission critical to having a user interface.
But it does not get much love. And therefore, it kind of feels like a panic room, where if you're spending a lot of time in your panic room, you're probably doing something wrong. And you don't need to... Okay, first of all, do you know what I'm talking about?

I do agree sometimes you go into some dark corner of the operating system that hasn't been touched in ages, but it's still the only place you can do the thing that it does.

Yeah, exactly, exactly. And when the... I don't know why, it's just weird. It's just one of those things no one would ever intend to pick up. But if you're being honest with yourself, you still don't realize these things. I'm not saying this is true, but what I am saying is when I am in a recent Cromulent OS and I open something that looks really, really, really old, it makes me think.
Sometimes I think, oh my god, it's so cool to see what's Adam's app, the Twitter box, Bird Feed. No, what was this called? What was Adam's called?

We opened Bird House and it was so beautiful. Cam did such a beautiful job on that app. But if that was an app somebody sent me today, I would think it's Malware. Malware?

And so that's when they'll just grab you. So I didn't touch anything there. All I did was change the classic, I have a variation on the classic Glenn Fleischman double-ender. I imagine Jason Snell has touched it at some point, but there was a time in my life for about eight years, anytime I needed to solve something that was about to ruin my entire week, I could find, I could Google something, and I would find an article by Glenn Fleischman on how to fix it. I mean, he used to be the Wi-Fi guy. That's when I knew Glenn. I mean, was acquainted with him was when he was-

That's what I'm talking about. I think it was on there. Oh, they're not called MacFixit, but whatever on six colors. I think he had like a MacWorld. Mac911 on MacWorld. Yeah. But like he had this beautiful, elegant, starts with three blocks to get you a double ender. And I'm sorry. Gosh, I'm sorry. I'm having a time, John. I'll get at it eventually.
And it was an audio hijack pro at the time, workflow where you would be able to capture from Skype. And also in my case, I also do an mp3 that's both sides together, just to have some kind of a backup kind of. Anyhow, yeah, so I just changed those to 48 Hey, everybody.
