**Craig Carton** (0:00)
New York Yankees, according to most Yankee fans, embarrassed themselves yesterday.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:04)
It was a bad day for the Yankees.
**Craig Carton** (0:05)
Didn't get a catch, didn't get a reliever, didn't really get much of anything. And then, Garcia steps up to the plate last night, late in the game, down a run, bang! To deep right center field. Everybody loving it. They take a one run lead, and this is gonna be the Cashman moment to tell all you Yankee fans to shove it.
And then, of course, we go to the bullpen, and my neck hurts, so I'm looking up at all the homerun. It starts with a triple right out of the gate, too.
**Chris McMonigle** (0:36)
Yeah, why Yarbrough was still in that game to throw the first batter of the eighth inning. I know they're on fumes, but that one just made no sense to me. Not that it mattered, because Chaville was gonna be that kind of guy coming out anyway.
His problem wasn't he started with a runner at third. I can promise you that. That was not his problem at all. That was not the issue with Chaville last night. But yeah, no, what a moment that would have been. I'm actually, I wanna hear the call. Can we hear the call?
**Craig Carton** (0:58)
Which call do you want?
**Chris McMonigle** (1:00)
I heard the TV call.
**SPEAKER_3** (1:01)
Yeah, Ryan Ruocco on TV.
**Craig Carton** (1:02)
Yes, that was a good call. I thought Ruocco had a great call.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:05)
Welcome to the Bronx, Luis was the call.
**Craig Carton** (1:07)
I thought Brian Ruocco's call was money.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:08)
Was money.
**Craig Carton** (1:09)
Yeah.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:10)
I wanna hear Dave Sims call.
**Craig Carton** (1:11)
Dave Sims, all right, on the radio right here. I've not heard this.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:15)
Have you heard it? No.
**Craig Carton** (1:16)
So what's before we play it, should we give the Ruocco call first? Because I thought Ruocco killed it.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:22)
Ruocco did a great job.
**Craig Carton** (1:22)
I thought that was as good a home run call in that spot as you're gonna get.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:25)
And the Yankees, that game, it's over 6-0. I mean, he's got nothing.
He doesn't walk anybody. He walks five guys in the start, Schlitler. He was just off. He comes out after three. Game ball balloons to six. This offense sucks. There's no chance.
**Craig Carton** (1:40)
I agree.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:41)
And then all of a sudden, two run home run from Wells, home run from Grisham, home run from McMahon, home run from Caballero. And then the newest acquisition steps up to the plate, Garcia.
In a moment that says Yankee moment, it's his Yankee moment.
**Craig Carton** (1:56)
Yes.
**Chris McMonigle** (1:56)
And again, for Cashman, it would have been and for a Yankee fan like myself, I would have had fun even though I'm pissed at Cashman, I still would have been pissed. I would have had a lot of fun.
**Craig Carton** (2:06)
In fact, you know, full out cash was blown out his chest.
**Chris McMonigle** (2:09)
And Garcia hit that.
**Craig Carton** (2:10)
I just give you both. Let me give you a moment. This was on. Yes. Last night, Ryan Ruocco, I think, is a terrific play by play broadcast. I like Ryan. I had a member of the club, bald guys.
Here's Ryan Ruocco. Go ahead. The 2-2. Garcia gets it a ride.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:27)
Deep right field.
**Craig Carton** (2:28)
Welcome to the Bronx, Luis. Yankees lead.
By the way, why Ryan Ruocco isn't doing network TV? I have no idea. That's a great call. Well, I think he does the WNBA. I think he's the voice of the WNBA, but nobody cares about the WNBA. So let's get that kid a gig at a major network doing a major sport. He's that good. He is good. All right. That's Ruocco. That's a 10 out of 10
**Chris McMonigle** (2:57)
And Yankee fans know this, and I guess last night falls into the category, for whatever reason, when Ryan Ruocco does games, they tend to be freaking crazy.
**Craig Carton** (3:06)
Big things happen.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:07)
Big things happen, like the Hermann Perfect Game a couple years ago out in Oakland. He's on the call.
**Craig Carton** (3:14)
That was a Ruocco call.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:15)
One of the wildest games ever in Minnesota, where they ended in the 11, it was like 12-11 in extras or something, and Hicks makes an incredible dive and catch to end the game, and it was a back and forth, up by four, down by five, up by three. Like it was one of those crazy games. Ryan Ruocco, for whatever reason, in the games K takes off and he does, crazy things happen. He has all of these moments.
