Chris McMonigle (0:36)

Yeah, that's right, a little Live Nation action. The Yankees are taking on the chin last night. Game three tomorrow at Yankee Stadium. By the way, quick programming note. Me and the big fella will be live from Yankee Stadium tomorrow at 2 o'clock getting ready for game three, which could end the New York Yankee season, of course.

But do they have the backbone, the hutzpahs, we say, to extend the series to a fourth game?

Craig Carton (1:01)

I'll say this, they better because, like, the one thing this team needs to do is get off the deck and force this game five. The Tampa Bay Rays celebrated the division title at Yankee Stadium.

Do not allow this team to celebrate moving to the ALCS, which, let's be honest, for all intents and purposes, is a trip to the World Series. Do not allow them to do that in your ballpark. Get off the deck, show some freaking guts and respect for yourself, and go out there and win two games at home. And if game five doesn't go your way, game five doesn't go your way, you have to force that team to get back on the plane and go back to Tampa.

Chris McMonigle (1:44)

A little bit of self-respect. Go out there and play your best baseball game.

Craig Carton (1:48)

Let's go.

Chris McMonigle (1:48)

You know, we all know you can. You did it against the Red Sox offensively, the pitching was fantastic. And Max Freed is on the mound. He played pitch great game too.

Craig Carton (1:58)

You're going against Nick Martinez, who again is another right handed pitcher who throws change. They'll change the lineup a little bit because you have to do something. I don't think it'll do.

Chris McMonigle (2:07)

Can't do the same old same old.

Craig Carton (2:09)

Now after two games, one game, like again, and I have no problem with the lineup yesterday. I have no problem with it. No, we set up before the game. I have no problem with it.

Chris McMonigle (2:16)

They got shut down by the same lineup as well.

Craig Carton (2:18)

Right, they scored one run and brought up the same lineup they played. Yeah, I mean, look, I get it. They got shut down by a pitcher who always shuts them down.

They had just scored nine runs in back to back games against a really good pitching staff. However, however... I know I don't want to get into my Yankee shield them, but like stop saying the Red Sox are a pushover.

Chris McMonigle (2:35)

However, however, one of the storylines from game one was not just Rasmussen being a rock star, because he was. It was what?

Wells being stupid.

Craig Carton (2:45)

At all, yeah.

Chris McMonigle (2:46)

Another mistake.

Craig Carton (2:47)

And that's why I told you that pissed me off more than not getting the hits.

Chris McMonigle (2:50)

That's right.

Craig Carton (2:50)

The stupidity pissed me off more.

Chris McMonigle (2:52)

Back to back games, stupid. Oh.

Back to back games. Errors and stupidity.

Craig Carton (2:57)

Major stupid.

Chris McMonigle (2:58)

That's exactly right. Now I'm not saying that Wells scores hurt, but the reality is this.

They lose game one in part because they broke down fundamentally. They did something stupid.

Craig Carton (3:09)

In part.

Chris McMonigle (3:10)

And in game two, they gave it away.

Craig Carton (3:11)

Bad errors. Completely in part.

Chris McMonigle (3:13)

And of course, the Bellinger shot doesn't leave the ballpark. Right?

You thought it was gone off the bat too. You probably jumped up and down.

Gallo (3:21)

Honey, get me a martini.

Chris McMonigle (3:23)

Just one time. Daddy wants to drink.

Craig Carton (3:25)

Just one time.

Chris McMonigle (3:26)

Right?

Craig Carton (3:26)

Just one time.

Chris McMonigle (3:27)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (3:28)

Just one time. Come through with the big hit. Just once.

Gallo (3:31)

This close?

Chris McMonigle (3:33)

Grand Slammy.

Craig Carton (3:35)

That would have changed the game. Yankees win the game with the Grand Slam there.

Chris McMonigle (3:38)

Well, you like to think that, but I don't know if they do or not.
