By the way, after us, you have five hours on the Anthony Gallo, 7 and 12

Chris McMonigle (0:06)

How about that?

Craig Carton (0:06)

Just what the audience has been clamoring for.

Chris McMonigle (0:08)

That's right.

Craig Carton (0:09)

And then Petey, are you doing Midnight to 5?

SPEAKER_3 (0:12)

No, I had to...

Chris McMonigle (0:12)

You took a day off?

SPEAKER_3 (0:13)

I had to back out of that one.

Craig Carton (0:14)

Good, good for you. Enjoy your family.

Chris McMonigle (0:17)

He's going to the kids' ball game, right?

SPEAKER_3 (0:19)

A flag football game, yeah.

Chris McMonigle (0:20)

Flag football game. He begged me to go.

Craig Carton (0:22)

So happy.

Chris McMonigle (0:23)

Good, enjoy.

Craig Carton (0:24)

I had a long chat with Pete a couple weeks ago. Do not miss out on your kids growing up. You obviously miss some of your kids' games. I have as well.

But when you get there and your kid sees you on the sideline and his eyes become like saucers because daddy is there, you will never get those moments back. It's what I miss having my kids grown up.

Of course. I miss those moments, whether I coach them or just watch them as a fan, as a dad. When they turn around, because they're always searching for you, is my dad going to make it? Is my dad here? And then you show up, and you probably got your Dunkin Donuts coffee with you, like all the other dads, because it's the early morning game.

SPEAKER_3 (1:03)

Oh, hey Billy, good to see you.

Craig Carton (1:06)

Hey, hope your son got soup last night, we're counting on him today. That kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_3 (1:10)

It's awesome.

Chris McMonigle (1:11)

That's like your mulch.

SPEAKER_3 (1:12)

Purge on the shirt, there you go.

Craig Carton (1:14)

By the way, I need some help later today, you got that shovel-like bar.

Chris McMonigle (1:18)

Fertilizer.

Craig Carton (1:20)

I drove by your house, I see you haven't spread that out yet.

SPEAKER_3 (1:22)

Need some help?

Craig Carton (1:25)

Neighborhood smells. You know, it's cow manure and that, right? Did you know that I learned a valuable lesson today that cows don't exist in the wild?

Did you know that?

Chris McMonigle (1:36)

I think I did.

Craig Carton (1:37)

Yeah, cows are engineered. Always? Cows are engineered.

Chris McMonigle (1:41)

There was never just natural cows, ever.

Craig Carton (1:44)

It's a non-existent animal.

Chris McMonigle (1:45)

No, I don't know about that. That I don't know.

SPEAKER_3 (1:47)

Okay.

Chris McMonigle (1:48)

I think right now there's no cows in the wild.

Craig Carton (1:50)

You asked Neil deGrasse Tyson about cows.

Chris McMonigle (1:52)

It's like broccoli?

Craig Carton (1:53)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_3 (1:54)

Like made up?

Craig Carton (1:55)

It does not exist in the wild.

Chris McMonigle (1:56)

Wow.

Craig Carton (1:57)

Yes.

Chris McMonigle (1:58)

So we never had milk unless it was goat's milk.

Craig Carton (2:00)

Yeah, other animals, sure.

Chris McMonigle (2:01)

We never had cow milk that we know today.

Craig Carton (2:04)

I didn't get to tell all the specifics on it.

Chris McMonigle (2:06)

Well, I mean...

SPEAKER_3 (2:06)

And also the cows were around for hundreds of years.

Chris McMonigle (2:08)

You're going to make a claim that there are no such things as a wild cow?

SPEAKER_3 (2:12)

According to Neil deGrasse Tyson...

Chris McMonigle (2:14)

You don't have any answers?

Craig Carton (2:15)

Bronx is owned, Neil deGrasse Tyson said cows are like an engineered animal. They do not exist in the wild.

How about that?

Chris McMonigle (2:28)

I don't know how I feel about that.

Craig Carton (2:29)

And his point was when people say that you're just a small little speck in the solar system and somebody irrelevant, you have the solar system in you because cows eat grass, right? That's all they eat. Grass grows due to photosynthesis, means it's powered by the...

Chris McMonigle (2:44)

Sun.

Craig Carton (2:44)

Which is a star, right?

Chris McMonigle (2:46)

Right.

Craig Carton (2:46)

So when you eat a cow or steak, you're basically eating the power of our solar system, aka the sun.

Too deep for me. I just like a ribeye is what I'm looking for.

SPEAKER_3 (2:58)

We're all made of the same stuff.

Craig Carton (2:59)

Yeah, but cows don't exist.

Chris McMonigle (3:01)

How's the best way to defrost a steak?

Craig Carton (3:04)

Put it in the sink.

Chris McMonigle (3:06)

Just take it straight out of the freezer, put it in the sink. Do you take two or three days and put it in the refrigerator and let it slowly defrost?
