Me too, I completely forgot. Hello, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the X-Men 97 Season 2 Review Series. This is Episode 8 This is the penultimate episode, the Spoilers Review. I am the Dealer, Travis Snell, and I'm joined by...
**Taylor Field** (0:16)
Mon Cher Taylor Field.
**Travis Snell** (0:19)
Mon Cher, okay.
**Taylor Field** (0:20)
Mon Cher.
**Travis Snell** (0:22)
I was like, I think it's Mon Cherie, but...
**Taylor Field** (0:24)
Mon Cherie.
**Travis Snell** (0:25)
I get what you're going for. So yeah, we are here, me and Taylor again. Honestly, I don't know if the finale next week to there might be you and me again. We might not hear the other boys' thoughts until the MCU Golden Geeks. Why are you making that noise? No, just...
**Taylor Field** (0:40)
They both... I feel like they were both here for one episode a piece, and Kirkland's not even any, actually.
**Travis Snell** (0:46)
Yeah, I think Dylan's been on two to three... I think he's been on three because I think he did... Yeah, I think he's been on three. So three out of the eight there. But yeah, because Dylan, obviously, he's on his way tonight. He's on his way in town to Kelowna for GV Day. We'll talk about now and on the Weekly Geek.
But yeah, that's happening this Saturday, 8 a.m., 11 hours. 11 hours to celebrate 11 years. Lots of great events, but Dylan's coming in. But I'm pretty sure he goes back on the Tuesday or Wednesday because remember we had the Pirates Caribbean retrospective plan, but he's saying he's off the Wednesday.
**Taylor Field** (1:17)
Oh, that's right. Yeah.
**Travis Snell** (1:20)
And then Kirkland, unless he's going to just speed catch up, I highly doubt it. So we'll see.
**Taylor Field** (1:25)
We ain't thinking through that. Yeah.
**Travis Snell** (1:27)
It might just be mean to the next week. So we'll see. That's how it started. Well, technically it started with me and Taylor's internet pooping out, but hopefully no internet pooping out today.
Big episode. I am disappointed the boys aren't here to talk about it. So luckily, like I said, MCU Golden Geeks at the beginning of next year, we do our Oscars for the Marvel stuff and we decide who's the best actor, who's the best actors, best project, best costume, that type of stuff. So we will talk about this many other times. Also, we got season 3, but next week is the finale.
There will be a weekly Geek Live recording after. That's your edibate. Don't worry. It doesn't have to be on the main feeds till Thursday or Friday. I got the weekly Geek at it? Yeah, it has to be till Friday. I did weekly Geek last week.
**Taylor Field** (2:08)
You talked to me in this weekly Geek and I was like, and as you upload, I see how it is.
**Travis Snell** (2:12)
I did it last week. Relax, relax. But where's Kirkland?
**Taylor Field** (2:15)
Get Kirkland here.
**Travis Snell** (2:16)
You got till Friday. You got till Friday. You're fine.
But if you're a Patreon, you could get that weekly Geek right away. Not even waiting till Friday. Get ad free. But we are going to talk about a big episode here, Taylor. The Devil's Hand. I think this is one that we, obviously a couple of episodes ago, we knew, okay. And again, we go into full spoilers. So if you're not seeing the episodes now, time to bow out. But we saw Gambit and then we saw Apocalypse take the form of him. Maybe we were speculating that, but also even last season, I think we all kind of got the sense that, okay, Gambit ain't dead fully. And again, superhero, sci-fi, no one's ever really gone, right? But it's like, okay, Gambit's not dead. It's been building, at least I'd say, like almost half the season, a few episodes here for Gambit's return. And this was the big thing of the team facing off against him. What were your initial thoughts of this episode?
**Taylor Field** (3:05)
Oh man, just, like, it feels like it concluded way too quickly, to be honest.
**Travis Snell** (3:15)
I mean, I like this whole fucking season, I'll say, you know?
**Taylor Field** (3:17)
Yeah.
I think where we got to at the end of this episode should not have happened in this episode. I think it should have saved it for the finale, because everything that we kind of were dealing with was just getting bigger and bigger and bigger, and then it was just like over and done. And that over and done was pretty fucking awesome. Like we got, there's one moment in this episode where I just got like chills, and it was just super fucking cool that music kicks in and you just get like this like pan shot. It was like an equivalent of like an Avengers Assemble kind of thing. And I was like, oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
