Well, hello there and welcome to WTA Weekly.
And we are back. We are finishing off on the European time zone and launching into the US time zone. And that's pretty much why we're kind of live at this time, because there'll be matches in Washington DC to be watched over the next week around now. And we will get to those via some results that happened this week. But I want to welcome John on. John, how are you doing?

Is that the reason we're live right now? Or just this is the time that suits us basically best?

**Nick** (2:46)
I mean, it depends on how much behind the scenes we want to give away, John. But you know, like, do we want to know, do we want to give the official reason or the real reason?

**John** (2:56)
What I will say is, Nick, let's flesh out a little bit at least anyway and say, listen, this is actually our sort of peak-ish time.
If we get really low views and ratings right now, we're never going to get good ratings because we're sort of still got the Europeans just about awake, and we've certainly got the North Americans and the South Americans, etc. So that's kind of... Listen, obviously, if you're watching right now somewhere, like if you're in, I don't know, the Far East somewhere and it's five or six in the morning, and you're watching us bleary-eyed, thank you very much for joining us. I don't expect it, but welcome. But really, this is more of a peak time for us. And that's why actually we tend to do quite well during this part of the year. And we're also going to of course be talking about a few players who we're expecting potentially to do well at this time of the year.

Absolutely. And there'll be few to get through to where they're in action this week. I mean, if you are tuning in for the Far East, it's probably because you've seen the headline match from Washington, DC, which we are going to get into.
But please bear with us for the next 10 minutes or so, because we are going to start with results that happened in Europe today, in Hamburg and in Prague. And we'll start with Hamburg, because I know that John is based in Germany, and we'll probably have some insight into how big a splash that Tamara Korpach made winning her home tournament in Hamburg today. It's her second WTA title and her first on clay. It's actually her first clay final. The other two she reached were indoors, on hard courts.
