Welcome to The Ringer Fantasy Football Show. My name is Danny Heifetz, and I'm joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck. And today we are going over wide receivers, rankings, sleepers, tiers, and of course at the end, as always, at the beginning of the week, quarterback hotness rankings. We're in it, we're broaching the top 10 today, DK.
**Danny Kelly** (1:31)
Oh man. Is that right? It's getting close. This is exciting.
**Craig Horlbeck** (1:34)
We're doing 12 to nine today.
**Danny Heifetz** (1:37)
Which when you say it, it's not really a good hook to stay around.
**Craig Horlbeck** (1:40)
Well, we're now getting into the top 10 The top third hottest quarterbacks.
**Danny Heifetz** (1:44)
Top third hottest quarterbacks in the NFL.
And again, we're coming to you all preseason fantasy season. We're going to go to four episodes a week toward the end of August so we can help you prep for your drafts and everything. And we keep having episodes into the season. So once you do your drafts, stick with us either, cause we can help you or also we keep being stupid during the season in addition to before it. You guys want to just jump into the receiver position?
**Craig Horlbeck** (2:07)
Yeah, it's juicy. Got a lot to cover.
**Danny Heifetz** (2:10)
It is juicy. We have a ton of receivers. There are way more than tight ends of quarterbacks. So we have to tweak this a little bit, but I want to start by just talking about like the overall wide receiver position because it's actually pretty interesting season because I, I don't know if you guys, have you guys have any thoughts on receivers? Cause I found some amazing numbers from Rich Rebar.
**Danny Kelly** (2:29)
Like, generally?
**Craig Horlbeck** (2:31)
I have general thoughts on wide receivers this year. One, this is probably common with every year, but once again, it feels like wide receivers in a great spot. And almost every single one of these elite options is in the prime of their career.
I counted how many receivers there were in the rankings until I got to one that was over 30 years old. And it's Devontae Adams, who's ranked, we had him 20th.
**Danny Heifetz** (2:55)
Who led the NFL in touchdowns last year even though he didn't play the final three weeks.
**Craig Horlbeck** (2:58)
Yes, everyone else in the top 20 is under 30 years old. It is as deep as ever. And it's always a position I tell myself I can wait on because there's so many options. And then I'm staring at Jamar Chase or Drake London, and I get excited and I bid and then I take one of those guys. But you can probably get Mike Evans, D. Higgins and Roma Dunze in rounds four, five and six.
And then you can get a great quarterback, a great tight end and a great running back and really round out your team. So it's not breaking any ground to say that quarterback looks really deep this year. But man, like there's a lot of guys that are just smack dab in the middle of their prime.
**Danny Heifetz** (3:36)
There's a lot of really good players, but I do want to know Rich, so Rich Rewar wrote this fantastic article for Warren Sharpe's website, Sharpe Football, that I will reference a lot today, because Warren's site is great, but Rich had some amazing stats. But I'm just going to read you this anecdote from Rich's stat about this overview, the receiver position.
Wide receiver, last season, 2025 Wide receivers in 2025 collected the fewest receiving yards in the season since 2003
