Rachel McElroy (0:16)

Hi, this is Rachel McElroy.

Griffin McElroy (0:18)

Hello, this is Griffin McElroy.

Rachel McElroy (0:19)

And this is Wonderful.

Griffin McElroy (0:20)

Welcome to Wonderful! This is a podcast where we talk about things we like that's good that we're into. Just before we started, Rachel said that with her wet hair and the shirt that she's wearing looks like a cult leader. I disagree with that, baby.

And if I didn't disagree with that, it's like a cool, like a hot look.

Rachel McElroy (0:37)

I don't, to clarify, I don't think it's anything about wet hair in particular. It's just that my hair looks a little crazier than normal.

Griffin McElroy (0:44)

Yeah.

Rachel McElroy (0:44)

And like, I don't know, that kind of like, you know, what's she capable of, what kind of look kind of suggests like maybe I might rally some people and, you know, make some changes.

Griffin McElroy (0:55)

But in a sexy way, like, it's like giving Mary Martha Macy May Marlene. Macy Mary Marthy Marlene.

There's a movie and it had Elizabeth Olsen in it. It's about cults and it's for women's names, but I can't, Mary Martha May Marlene? No, Macy's definitely one of them.

Rachel McElroy (1:15)

How do you have this knowledge?

Griffin McElroy (1:17)

How do I have any knowledge, baby? My brain is a fucking garbage can.

Rachel McElroy (1:21)

Okay, yes, I can agree with that claim sometimes, but this is a movie with Elizabeth Olsen in it about a cult leader.

Griffin McElroy (1:30)

Yeah, why do I know of it?

Rachel McElroy (1:31)

Yes.

Griffin McElroy (1:31)

I mean, you see a name on a movie theater marquee that has four women's names on it, all starting with M. Will you look it up now?

Rachel McElroy (1:38)

Yeah. I'm too curious.

Griffin McElroy (1:40)

I think it's Mary Martha May Mar- Mary...

Mary Martha May Marlene? Martha Mar-

Martha Marcy May Marlene. Marcy was nowhere to be found in my estimation of the film's name. Martha Marcy May Marlene. It's not as good. I like my better, honestly.

Rachel McElroy (2:04)

And this hit theaters?

Griffin McElroy (2:05)

This hit theaters, and it's got Sarah Paulson in it. I bet she's the cult leader.

Rachel McElroy (2:10)

I mean, that's one heck of a cast.

Griffin McElroy (2:12)

That is one heck of a cast.

Rachel McElroy (2:13)

When did it come out?

Griffin McElroy (2:14)

1911

Whoa, holy shit. Wow, a silent movie starring Elizabeth Olson. She looks great for like 140

Rachel McElroy (2:26)

And Sarah Paulson for that matter.

Griffin McElroy (2:28)

I mean, Sarah Paulson, that's no surprise.

Rachel McElroy (2:30)

Yeah?

Griffin McElroy (2:31)

Yeah.

Rachel McElroy (2:31)

No, I actually wanna know when it came out.

Griffin McElroy (2:34)

2011

Rachel McElroy (2:34)

Oh, okay.

Griffin McElroy (2:35)

Yeah, it came out a while ago. Do you have any small wonders? Mine's Martha Marcy Marley Marlon.

Rachel McElroy (2:41)

So in 2011, you were-

Griffin McElroy (2:46)

Old enough to see it. Are you wondering, it's R-rated. Are you wondering if I'm allowed to see it?

Rachel McElroy (2:51)

I'm just wondering when you walked by a marquee and thought, hmm, I wonder what that film's about.

Griffin McElroy (3:00)

Yeah, I better remember it forever, kind of. I better almost remember some of the names in the title of this motion picture.

I might need it for a podcast.

Rachel McElroy (3:11)

I might need it to fill three minutes at the top of a podcast.

Griffin McElroy (3:13)

I might need an intro to a podcast.

Rachel McElroy (3:15)

Yeah.

Griffin McElroy (3:16)

Do you have any small wonders?

Rachel McElroy (3:19)

I was going to talk about how we have iced now.

Griffin McElroy (3:21)

Uh-huh. Our freezer's been broke for a long time, and it's a load-bearing freezer.

Rachel McElroy (3:27)

Well, let's clarify again. The ice maker inside of our freezer has been broken, and it seems like a silly reason to get a whole new fridge. Even though we did look at that briefly and then realized it was going to be a lot of work and our choices were limited.

Griffin McElroy (3:41)

It's a weird-sized German-imported fri- We didn't do this. I'm a frigidaire man.

Rachel McElroy (3:49)

This makes us sound very fancy.

Griffin McElroy (3:50)

I would not do this. I would not buy this.

Rachel McElroy (3:52)

It's GE or nothing in this house.

Griffin McElroy (3:53)

And so, like, replacing it is not possible, because it's, like, in a cabinet too. It's so fucking annoying.

Rachel McElroy (3:59)

Or if we replace it, we're going to get the exact same thing. Like, there's nothing really wrong with it. It's not the most practical choice for us. Anyway, this is a lot of information. All that happened is that I just went and bought one of those little countertop ice makers, and now we have ice. And that's, it's a game changer.
