Welcome one and all to Fifty Plus, the Tuesday edition of the program. Thank you all for joining me. I am really appreciative of each and every one of you who not only listen to the show, but also bring in new listeners as you meet people, talk to people, whatever. Anytime the conversation might turn towards stuff that's of interest to those of us who are seniors, I would greatly appreciate it if you would let people know just where to find the show.
Looking at the weather forecast, still kind of a no rain, plenty of warmth forecast going at least for another few days, almost to the point of too much of this, although I'll reserve that description for when it really heats up around here.
For now, I think we just need to be thankful that the hurricane-killing Saharan dust is wrapping itself around us. You're going to have to wash your car a little bit more. And if you have any kind of respiratory issues, you might want to think about staying inside for a little while, at least limiting your time outside. Maybe even go back to wearing a mask a little bit if you really have respiratory problems. That might not be a bad idea, to be perfectly honest. In any event, we'll move forward here. I made a decision over the weekend to kind of back off of the stock market reports and the oil reports and whatnot and gold, just because the information is so readily available, and I don't want to overstep any boundaries that there may be on somebody like me, just an average guy paying attention to these things, but not really understanding them enough to give you any more information than I believe my intelligent audience would already have. So no more of that, really. And I guess what I'll do now is just kind of move into something that mattered to me when I looked at it. Looking around the world, Iran's leadership, wherever it may be hiding, needs to get a grip on the members of its military who are acting like little spoiled children and just continue to lob drones and missiles all around the Middle East. We signed an agreement to stop shooting at each other, not that long ago, and so instead of shooting at us, now they're shooting at their neighbors who happen to be our allies. And they're just, they just continue to poke the bear. And that big old golden bear is not going to put up with this for very much longer, I'm pretty sure.
My gut tells me that President Trump is getting very close to the fool around and find out phase of what this conflict's gonna be. And Iran continues to fool around, continues to fire missiles and drones at chips in the Strait of Hormuz, at neighboring countries that happen to be allies of ours. So technically, they don't fire at US assets, but indirectly, they're just poking the bear. And what they don't realize is that when President Trump reacts to what they're doing, he's going to react in a way like no other president they've dealt with has. Iran hasn't changed at all, but what's changed is the man who is in charge of making this problem go away. One thing that's been a source of frustration for me is how when Iran fires a missile at a ship, let's say, we go destroy a bunker that holds a bunch of their missiles. So we knew where those missiles were, but we didn't destroy them before they went ahead and fired off another one. I'm pretty sure we know where most, if not all of their missiles are hidden, and I'm about ready to drop something on every one of those armories and just wipe them out. So long as we're concentrating on military targets and not on civilian infrastructure, let them fall. Just let them fall. The only thing these Iranian regimes have responded to and understand for years and years and decades and centuries, two things actually, that's money and force.
