I'm going to bring up the AI fighting video. We're not going to go full deep in it, because we're going to talk about this in football, so we're not going to end up, we're not getting in the Ed Sheeran thing. That would be too long of a convo.
Kirklin (0:09)
Well, footnote that for a future episode, because I'm curious.
Travis (0:12)
I'm just surprised you haven't heard about it.
Kirklin (0:14)
I did see one photo of him standing somewhere, and I didn't even click the video. It was just a caption of regretting what his public outreach stuff, is that what it was? Like being a good person, sort of?
Travis (0:29)
Ties is a guy who was paid off by the city. No, not being a good person. Short elevator pitches. Last week, he's on tour. Macklemore opens for him. Macklemore ends his set with Free Palestine. He says that to the crowd. I saw that.
So you saw that?
Kirklin (0:45)
Okay, I didn't know it was the same thing. I didn't know it was the same thing. Keep going.
Travis (0:49)
Oh, so yeah, that happens next day. Robert Kraft, you know, Patriots owner, apparently says, hey, can't have that in the tour. Can't have even though this guy has Kanye West play shows, the guy can't have that in our stadiums, probably because he's backed by a lot of people in that the other side of that. Right. And again, that's a whole different conversation for me. When I focus on the Palestine Israel thing, I'm not focusing on who's right. Everything like that.
I think we've done a charity for it. We're focused on the innocent people that get hurt and affected by like fucking kids that are just trying to live their life and they're getting bombed. Right. So I don't think there's any, when people say free Palestine, I think a lot of people go, you're being racist, this people you're getting in and out. I think it's just people are trying to support the people that have no, that are, we're complaining right about a doc. Me and Kirklin are a trillion times better than a lot of people around the world that are literally like the shit going on in Saudi Arabia right now. They're literally, they're running the streets, just getting fucking bombed.
So again, that's where I also, with all the political stuff we talked about, the AI, that's where so much times I do sit back and just even like, even, I don't know where I wanna go. Let's just say there was a family that I had heard about in school, all good, they're good people, but they had two children that have disabilities, both of them. And it's just like, man, I'm thinking, and not they're great parents, the kids are great, but it's a big extra step for their lives, right? For both those kids, like how much more that takes care of. And sometimes I take that stuff for granted, like, oh, I'm doing this, this, and this, and someone asks me, hey, dad, can I do this? Like, oh, like I can't, I got, like, I gotta untie these two knots in your shoes. It's like, fuck, I gotta get this done. That's where it's like, we are very lucky versus so many people in the world, right? So all this, a lot of it is just, and we're having fun. So that's where, but he says that. And of course he goes out of the tour, they kick him off the tour. Supposedly Ed Sheeran had no power, he couldn't do anything, Kraft got rid of him. So Macklemore, the GE was, he puts this all out that, oh yeah, they got me out the tour, blah, blah, blah, blah, all this stuff.
And he did the classic good thing, like, you know, he did have a good statement of like, hey, I'm not a victim, Ed's not a victim, these are the victims. But he did like, oh yeah, Ed's been a friend of mine, he will be for years. Just differences of opinion. So to me, it felt like a nice way of like, oh yeah, it's all good, but he definitely did something. And then there was rumors that Ed Sheeran was all pissed off about that because he kind of threw him under the bus. Because like, I don't care what anyone says, Ed Sheeran's one of the biggest acts in the world. I don't think anymore now, this has really hurt his stock, the plummet, the tails, lots of his tickets got slashed and everything like that. But like, there's no way you're telling me if they say, hey, you got to take Backamore off the tour. And he's like, fuck that, I'm not doing it. There's no fucking way they don't go with Ed Sheeran. In my opinion, there's no way.
