It'll be, it's meant to be, this is Baby Rexha by the way at Big Mac.

Chris McMonigle (0:06)

Be, baby it's meant to be, run, run with me, run with me, take my juicy phone. It's meant to be, it'll be.

Craig Carton (0:25)

This is not what she's known for, but she got that big old ass.

SPEAKER_3 (0:28)

What, what is, who's that with her?

Craig Carton (0:31)

Tug McGraw.

SPEAKER_3 (0:32)

Tug McGraw.

Craig Carton (0:33)

That's right, used to sing, played for the Mets.

SPEAKER_3 (0:35)

Mm-hmm, I was going to say.

Craig Carton (0:36)

Steve Cohen wrote a letter to New York Mets fans. Would you like to hear a little taste of it?

SPEAKER_3 (0:42)

He was talking to me, what was the first words that came out of your mouth there? He was telling me what it actually was.

Craig Carton (0:48)

Steve Cohen wrote a letter to Mets fans. Would you like to hear a little taste of it?

SPEAKER_3 (0:52)

Of course I would, I'd like to hear the whole thing.

Craig Carton (0:54)

I'm not reading the whole thing. Why not?

Chris McMonigle (0:56)

Because it's long.

SPEAKER_3 (0:56)

Why don't you just give me just a taste, give me the whole thing. Don't rack that up.

Craig Carton (1:02)

Rack it!

SPEAKER_3 (1:04)

I don't want just a taste.

Chris McMonigle (1:05)

Just the whole thing.

SPEAKER_3 (1:06)

Give me the whole thing.

Craig Carton (1:08)

To our loyal members, it's already weird.

SPEAKER_3 (1:11)

Our loyal members, isn't this the Rotary Club?

Craig Carton (1:13)

This is a message from Steve and Alex Cohen, I guess she runs the shipper on there. Sent the season ticket holders to our loyal members. As the 2026 season comes to an end, we recognize that it did not unfold the way any of us hoped. Frankly, I was disgusted by the performance of most of the acquisitions that our battle general manager made. However, your passion never wavered. We never take your loyalty or the responsibility that comes with it for granted even when we eff it up in the manner we did this particular season. You deserve so much better than what we've given you. For those of you that have complained openly and publicly that I'm not even a real Met fan, you are right.

Truth be told, I grew up a die-hard Yankee fan, and only because my wife's father was a Met fan did I now pretend to be a die-hard Met fan. Furthermore, as many of you know, I tried to buy the Dodgers first. The Mets were the only team that would sell to me, so I bought them. Six years later, I've got a casino, so ha-ha on you.

As always, let's go match Steve Cohen.

SPEAKER_3 (2:42)

That's an interesting letter.

Craig Carton (2:43)

Yeah, that's what he wrote there.

SPEAKER_3 (2:44)

I'm surprised he went in that direction.

Craig Carton (2:45)

I may have taken some liberties.

SPEAKER_3 (2:46)

I've got to be honest. I would have... I did not see the ha-ha jokes on you. I got the casino.

Craig Carton (2:51)

Oh, he did say this.

Thank you for continuing to show up and stand behind this team. The energy you bring to City Field creates a true home field advantage. Now, wait a minute. What was their home record this year?

SPEAKER_3 (3:03)

Probably not good.

Craig Carton (3:05)

Probably not good is it right?

SPEAKER_3 (3:06)

It was 35 and like 44

Craig Carton (3:07)

Yeah. So they were about 10 games under 500 at home.

So he's kind of blaming you guys since the home field advantage is based on you guys. Excuse you.

SPEAKER_3 (3:17)

Wow.

Craig Carton (3:18)

Yeah. Pete, I told you to stop burping on that.

SPEAKER_3 (3:21)

Interesting letter. I'm not sure how to take it to be honest with you. Interesting letter.

Craig Carton (3:24)

I feel like he wrote it a month ago.

SPEAKER_3 (3:27)

In a moment of frustration.

Craig Carton (3:29)

Yeah. Let's go to John Amasapika on the fan.

SPEAKER_3 (3:33)

What the hell just happened?

Craig Carton (3:34)

John, what's going on, buddy?

SPEAKER_3 (3:38)

What's up, buddy? What's up?

Chris McMonigle (3:41)

How are you? It's been a nice day.

Craig Carton (3:43)

Well, it is been, but you said Tug McGraw.

SPEAKER_3 (3:46)

Yeah, he's Tug's God. It's Tim, the son that sings. Are you okay?

Craig Carton (3:50)

You have that reverse, pal.

SPEAKER_3 (3:51)

Well, the song was a long time ago, so.

Chris McMonigle (3:53)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (3:55)

Tug McGraw has three, thirteen number one hits on the country music albums.

SPEAKER_3 (4:00)

Tug, T-U-G Tug.
