When do you think he runs out of rain songs? You think by 4.30?

Chris McMonigle (0:05)

No, there's so many rain songs. He could get through the whole show.

SPEAKER_3 (0:09)

I don't think he can.

Chris McMonigle (0:10)

If he's smart enough.

Craig Carton (0:11)

I don't think he can.

Chris McMonigle (0:12)

He has the thing called Google.

Craig Carton (0:13)

Oh, you're cheating? Are you cheating? No, it's coming off the dome. Yeah, coming off the dome, my ass. You're cheating. Or Dr. Spence over there, his big music guy, has been feeding you information.

SPEAKER_3 (0:25)

I know what's going on there.

Craig Carton (0:26)

I know exactly what's going on. You two were in cahoots.

A friend of the show and a nice of him to come in. He has a nice guitar collection.

SPEAKER_3 (0:34)

He does.

Craig Carton (0:35)

Matter of fact, that you'd probably love.

SPEAKER_3 (0:38)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (0:38)

And a George Harrison vest that you'd probably not be left alone with.

Chris McMonigle (0:42)

From his tour in the early 70s, yeah. Yeah. Awesome.

Craig Carton (0:45)

Was that the Beatles tour?

SPEAKER_3 (0:46)

No, I said post.

SPEAKER_4 (0:48)

No, the Beatles stopped touring.

Craig Carton (0:49)

Because George Harrison only had one song post Beatles.

Chris McMonigle (0:51)

That's not true. All Things Must Pass was a double album, and it had a ton of great songs on it. It might be the best post-Beatle album of any of them, including Paul and John.

Craig Carton (1:01)

Really? Yeah. Really?

Chris McMonigle (1:03)

All Things Must Pass? Because he had a back load.

Craig Carton (1:04)

What was the big pop song that George Harrison did?

Chris McMonigle (1:07)

Well, later, you're thinking of...

SPEAKER_3 (1:09)

What's the song to think about?

Chris McMonigle (1:10)

He got My Mindset on You.

SPEAKER_3 (1:10)

Yeah, yeah. Brilliant. I mean, a tough song to write. My Sweet Lord.

Craig Carton (1:14)

I got My Mindset on who? Oh, you. Yeah. Let me say it again. I got My Mindset on You.

Chris McMonigle (1:22)

I actually think that's a cover. I don't think that's a George Harrison.

Craig Carton (1:24)

Well, because Paul and John weren't around to write songs for him.

Chris McMonigle (1:26)

He had such a backlog.

SPEAKER_3 (1:27)

What was the second song you said there real quick?

Chris McMonigle (1:29)

My Sweet Lord.

Craig Carton (1:30)

Great song.

Chris McMonigle (1:31)

All Things Must Pass.

SPEAKER_3 (1:32)

That's a great song.

Chris McMonigle (1:32)

Those are all big hits.

SPEAKER_3 (1:33)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (1:34)

I like My Sweet Lord. I also like Lely. You know sometimes when, and I apologize, my voice is shot.

You know sometimes when you hear a song, you haven't heard it in a long time, and then even days later, you can't get the song out of your head.

Chris McMonigle (1:48)

Sure happens to me all the time.

Craig Carton (1:49)

Yeah. That just happened to me a couple of days ago.

Chris McMonigle (1:53)

What song?

Craig Carton (1:53)

With a song about it raining in Georgia.

Chris McMonigle (1:57)

Oh, that's right.

SPEAKER_3 (1:57)

You were singing that the other day.

Craig Carton (1:58)

Yeah.

Chris McMonigle (1:59)

Yeah.

Craig Carton (2:00)

I forget how good. I'm blocking out right now.

Chris McMonigle (2:02)

Wasn't it The Lights Went Out in Georgia?

Craig Carton (2:04)

Yeah. Oh, The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia. Yeah. They shot an innocent man. I have no idea who sings it, but I want to know who sings it, because I'm going to play that on loop my entire drive home.

Chris McMonigle (2:18)

Exciting.

Craig Carton (2:20)

The Night The Lights Went Out in Georgia. Who sings that song?

Chris McMonigle (2:24)

I'm not sure. We'd have to Google it.

Craig Carton (2:27)

All of a sudden, Pete doesn't have the answers.

Chris McMonigle (2:28)

Yeah, now he doesn't have.

Craig Carton (2:30)

He doesn't have a personal Chad Chibatina's office feeding him answers. I got you. All good.

Shot an innocent man. Anyway, that's the song I'm thinking of.

Chris McMonigle (2:40)

Let's go back to me.

SPEAKER_3 (2:41)

I can't do it anymore, Schlittler. I'm not having that argument, no. But again, I just want to clear it up.

Craig Carton (2:45)

I exhausted that argument.

Chris McMonigle (2:46)

Because I almost put my foot in my mouth.

Craig Carton (2:48)

Oh, the ALDS vs. ALDS, wild card record. Correct. And then we'll move on.

Chris McMonigle (2:52)

Correct. So your point was in the new playoff format, the team that wins game won 90% to win the series.

There's been a lot of sweeps, but I think it's too early a sample size and too small a sample size. And I made the point that the wild card winner has had a lot of success against the Bys. In the American League, you're right. The wild card winner is only two out of eight. So the team waiting with the Bys is six and two. In the National League, it is flipped. In the National League, they have had a lot of success with this new format. It is six and two in favor of the wild card winner.
