Hello, my friends, welcome back to Cloud Wars Minute. Workday introduced some very interesting new agenic solutions and innovations this week at Workday Rising. Wanted to touch on those, and also mention, I think, a very key partnership that Workday has strengthened with Anthropic. It's really going to be part of what I'm calling their all-in commitment to agenic AI, right? You know, for a long time, 12, 15 years, Workday certainly used AI deep within what its applications, business and platform was all about. More recently, three big things have really keyed the way for Workday's emergence into the AI field in a big time. One was about a year and a half ago, the hiring of Geert Kaasmeyer from Google Cloud. He's now Workday's president of products and technology. He's been a huge proponent for the AI boost. The second thing was about a year ago, the acquisition of Sana for 1.1 billion. And third was early this year, the Neil Bustries moved from executive chairman back into the CEO role to really push this forward. So a lot of what they announced at Rising this week were the fruits of those developments. So let me touch on what I think are some of the key ones. First, Sana is now the Workday home, that it's a single sort of wide open AI experience that's going to run all of Workday's applications, but it also orchestrates theogenic work that's being done, not just agents that will ask questions and offer suggestions, but get the work done. The second thing is what Fournew, what Workday calls autopilot agents, you know, playing on the notion, co-pilots help, autopilots actually do the work. So these autopilot agents are in accounting, payroll, talent acquisition, and deployment, where they can help you figure out the right way to handle all these things.

The headless, they've done that way, they call it the trusted agent platform, so that users can work in whatever field, whatever application, whatever solution they're most comfortable in, not just within Workday Sana.

Their decision intelligence is a new set of agents working across HR and finance that help model out the best scenarios, all with the grounded, governed data that Workday has. Work intelligence helps customers figure out the right place to deploy agentic solutions, how to work those, how to get the best ROI from them. And then also the acquisition of C1 AI. This is a company that is going to do some identity management and oversight, and Workday said that it will oversee for customers their money, their people, and their agents. So a very interesting combination they've pulled together there. So like I said, you know, all the big, what we used to call the enterprise applications companies, Workday being one of them. They've all moved out from applications to data, to platforms, and AI, and agents.

Workday being smaller than most of the big ones like Oracle, and SAP, and Salesforce, and Microsoft, has had to use advanced technology and being out on the front edge of these things to remain fully competitive, and to give customers the trust that Workday is going to continue to push them, and to some of these new, advanced areas. I think all of what they pulled together at Rising this week, points in that direction, and certainly the ongoing influence and heightened influence from CEO Neil Bursary is a big part of that. Got a detailed article that offers lots more insights on this. Coming up later this morning on cloudwars.com. I hope you'll check that out. Thanks for being with us here at Cloud Wars Minute. I hope you have a fantastic day.
