The Palestinian Authority is facing mounting financial, political, and security challenges, and many believe its future has never been more uncertain.

A recent discovery in Northern Samaria by an Israeli NGO is a testament to just how close the Palestinian Authority has been to total collapse. And it's been that way for a number of years now. To be clear, the Palestinian Authority is the only thing keeping the farce of a Palestinian state alive. And they are one of the most corrupt, violent organizations in the world. They should be designated as a terrorist organization. More on that later. This is The Israel Guys. Our friends at Rega Vim recently discovered a Palestinian Authority compound in Northern Samaria that was not only funded and built with European Union money, but part of it was built in Area C, which is clearly illegal. And it's also a clear attempt to continue the Fayyad Plan, which was started in 2009, whose mission was to establish a de facto Palestinian state under Israel's nose. As a reminder, under the Oslo Accords, Area A, 100% Palestinian Authority control, Area B, shared access and control by the PA and Israel, and Area C, 100% Israeli control. Much of it is actually Israeli state-owned land. In a statement, Regavim said, quote, Constructed less than a year ago, the compound includes an impressive entrance gate, a broad access road, benches, a pergola, playground equipment, and a light construction utility structure. According to official signage at the site, the planning and construction of the compound and access road were funded directly by the European Union. Just to refresh your memory, the Fayyad Plan that I mentioned a minute ago was created by Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad in 2009, and it called for Arab villages and towns to begin building and encroaching on Israeli-Jewish communities all throughout Judea and Samaria, focusing much of their attention and construction as close to Jewish areas and in Area C as possible. They were pretty successful for a number of years, and if you look at aerial maps of Israel's heartland, you will see that there are rings of Arab buildings, thousands of them are actually empty, strung out all throughout Israel's heartland, many of which are super close to Jewish communities. One of their main goals was to connect different villages and communities, creating like a ring around every Jewish community in Judea and Samaria. At The Israel Guys, we published a series of on-location episodes a few years ago, showing this very plan up close, and giving you the statistics that there are over 100,000 illegal Arab structures built in Area C, and many of them on Israeli state land. All 100% illegal, and many of them completely empty. Back to the story about the EU-funded construction in Area C mentioned at the beginning of the video. Naomi Khan, our friend from Regavim, said this, Our field coordinator did a standard sweep to update our data on the areas being repopulated by Jewish communities in northern Samaria. He discovered a recently built recreational compound with European Union sponsorship signage and Palestinian Authority credits. But the compound, which spilled over from Area B, is sitting on Israeli state land. In Area C, the whole thing is illegal. And also at precisely the same time, the EU has sanctioned law-abiding Israeli civil society organizations, including Regavim without even the pretense that they're guilty of doing anything illegal. So you have European Union funding illegal Palestinian Authority projects in Israeli state land and sanctioning the very NGO that exposed them. The European Council took restrictive measures against Regavim and their director earlier this year, while accusing the organization of working with the Israeli courts to demolish Palestinian property with the aim to expand the control of Israel to the whole West Bank and institute legal proceedings to that end.
So why is the European Union funding illegal construction in Judea and Samaria, especially when much of it is in line with the PA's attempts to establish a Palestinian state, essentially funding illegal activity, which is also against the state of Israel?
Well, it turns out that the Palestinian Authority desperately needs the European Union to survive. They have this thing called pay to slay, which you've probably heard of. Basically it means that if you commit a terrorist attack against Jews, you get put on the PA's payroll. If you kill a Jew, you get paid. If you wound a Jew, you get paid. If you die while committing a terror attack, your family gets paid. Did I mention that these payments are for life? The more Jews you kill or maim, the higher the salary, and those salaries are paid to you or your family for life. For decades, the Palestinian Authority has been giving hundreds of millions of dollars to thousands of terrorists and their families who are on their payroll, even prioritizing these payments when times are tough, cutting salaries to other government workers and agencies before cutting payments to terrorists and their families.
