Three straight sold out shows at Fort Collins. We have my friend, a rising comedian, and of course, a diehard Denver Broncos fan, Chris Higgins in the house. What's going on there?

Of course. Great to have you. Of course, Zac Stevens, Henry Chisholm, joining us as well today. And I have to say, that bit that we just showed on the show, I saw because people started sending it to me before I even saw it from just seeing you on Instagram. Yeah. People started being like, look at this. This is hilarious. This is incredible. And I was like, I know that guy.

So that's when I was like, one of these days we got to have him on the show. So it's great to have you here.

**Chris Higgins** (0:55)
Yeah, dude. I'm super stoked to be here. I've wanted to do it for a minute and been too like sheepish to be like, come on, let me on. I know things, I swear.
But yeah, stoked to be here, man. This is awesome.

That's great, man. Tell us a little bit about your journey. Maybe as far back as you want, but to where you are now in comedy.

**Chris Higgins** (1:15)
Well, I grew up here in Colorado, and then I went to college down in Florida. Halfway through college, I joined the improv team there.

**Henry Chisholm** (1:26)
A team?

**Chris Higgins** (1:26)
Yeah, competitive. Well, it wasn't really competitive. It was competitive to get on. Then once you did it, we did shows every month for the college on the campus. Then we got into a festival in Chicago. I went there, fell in love with Chicago, moved there after college, and have been there for coming up on, I think, 11 years.
When I was moved there, did all the different conservatories that they have in comedy, like Second City, IO, all that stuff. Basically, schools. But I was always doing stand-up as well. Then stand-up just took over. Then started touring right after, I would say I had my first legit tour planned for spring of 2020 Yeah, those are good. Then obviously didn't go on that. Then right after, when things opened up, I was willing to hit the ground. I've been touring full-time for like two, three years now.
It's definitely getting better than the beginning of the tour. So yeah, it's been fun.

Yeah, that's right around when I was like, it's about time to post my tour post.

Yeah, perfect.

We had two really cool days.

Yeah. Two really great days.

They weren't even as great. We had to send out like a message being like, so this is our grand opening, but don't come. But also if you want to come, you could still come.
Yeah, it was a bummer.

What was what was it like this weekend during those shows in Fort Collins?

**Chris Higgins** (3:06)
That's like my favorite one of my favorite clubs in the whole country, not just like Colorado. I recorded my special there last year. So always good to come back. I had a bunch of people that I saw at the special recording had come back as well. And like it was just, yeah, I mean, that's like feels like a home club to me in a way. So I always leave there feeling a little bit different than like the normal weekend as I'm like, oh, well, I hope I get to go back to the freaking Tacoma.
It's just great to like go there and like, no, I'm coming back and like it's just such a fun, fun time.

**Zac Stevens** (3:39)
That's awesome. But Chris, can you teach Ryan a little bit about liking Fort Collins? Because growing up in Boulder, he can never find that love for Fort Collins and the Rams. Like you have been able to adjust.

**Chris Higgins** (3:50)
Yeah, I love, I love Foco. I think it's great. I like it's like an amazing downtown obviously, but then like the like tertiary parts and like, you know, like the other like big breweries and like horse tooth is freaking beautiful. The massive reservoir there and the audiences, I also will say are better than Boulder.
