So this game, I'm mad that this game is not, I understand why it's not in Jordan Hare, but man, I really wanted to feel that home field advantage. I really wanted to feel what it was going to be like to try to come into Jordan Hare and listen to that screaming crowd and watch that eagle come off the top of the stadium and understand what it means to play Auburn at all.

**SPEAKER_5** (2:01)
You know, as I'm thinking about it, maybe it is delusion, right?

**SPEAKER_3** (2:05)
Let's go with it.

**SPEAKER_5** (2:06)
Let's go with it.

**SPEAKER_2** (2:07)
They're being delusional.

**SPEAKER_5** (2:09)
You got Sawyer Robertson on the Jake Spavitol. That wasn't your one under Jake Spavitol. You're talking about a QB that can really put the ball where the receiver needs it to be away from the defenders, right? That's a skill. By that level of accuracy, you can't really teach that, Mike. Right?
And I think that their quarterback last year, which to me, we've talked about it, I'm so surprised he's not an NFL. Like, my God, I'm surprised he's not an NFL. But you're bringing in a QB that is new to this system that does not have the same skill set. I'm not saying, I think he's a better athlete, DJ Lagway is, but the arm talent, I question the arm talent there. Now, I think Jake Spavitol is a much better fit for DJ Lagway than Billy Napier ever was. I think he's in much better hands with a guy who knows what to do with him. I just think in week one, I still think that Baylor is still having to figure a lot of stuff out to have the type of confidence they have going into this game. Against a defense that's among the best in the country.
I think that's why there's a lot of delusion there. You got owned in your own backyard. Auburn came in a bad Auburn team.

A bad Auburn team with no killer instinct went into Baylor and actually took that gang from you.

**SPEAKER_1** (4:24)
Yep.

**SPEAKER_5** (4:25)
Despite Sawyer Robertson going off in that game, Auburn took that gang from you.
I think it's delusional to say that you're back. Week one, with all of the changes, all of the people who even kept you in that gang are not even there. Trigs off to the NFL, we have your running back and you have a new quarterback. I do think that is slightly delusional.

**SPEAKER_3** (4:53)
That's my thoughts.
Yeah, I don't know, man. I hope that we're entering the era of Auburn Football, where you beat the teams that you're supposed to beat, the way you're supposed to beat them.

**SPEAKER_5** (5:12)
Yes, absolutely.

**SPEAKER_3** (5:13)
The way you're supposed to beat them. That has to be the signature of an Alex Golesh team. I think that that was what made Gus so steady at getting eight wins. For the most part, Auburn just beat all the teams they were supposed to beat. Then every four or five years, they beat the teams that they weren't supposed to beat as well too, and then have a shot at the national title. Right. He did that twice in eight years.
