College football is back.
Could not be happier to have college football to actually talk about, no more talking about things in theory. Time to talk about what's gonna happen on the field. Before we get into the craziness that is Baylor fans on the eve of this game, how are you feeling about Auburn Football, given all we've learned about Alex Golesh and his process this spring? It seems like it's more organized. The players seem to have bought in. I think folks are gonna have questions about Byrum and how he'll perform, but how are you feeling?

You know, I think this is the thing that Auburn has been missing for quite some time, right? I think one thing that you can credit the previous coaching staff of, Mike, is actually upgrading the talent at key positions. We saw Auburn find themselves in the top 10 of recruiting classes year after year under this coaching staff. A lot of those guys aren't with this team.
They've moved on to go elsewhere. But again, I think that you have to give kudos to that staff for recruiting at a high level. The concern was, Mike, is what were they doing when they were not on the field? What were they doing when they were on the field, right? Like when you talk about process, and actually, hold on, let me, let me check, can you hear me okay?

When you talk about process, that was with a missing link to the Auburn teams of past, right? And so if you can fix that, if you can actually fix, actually, I think my mic is tripping real quick. Let me hop off real quick.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're good.
Yeah, Ceasear's talking about process there and fixing the process. I mean, that was the big thing, lack of process, especially on offense. I'll take you guys back to the off season. Payne Thorne told me that watching offensive and defensive practice were like watching two different football teams at times. And when that's the case, you cannot have a successful football team. The defense was organized. They knew where they were going. The offense was something different and not a good something different, a very terrible something different. What Auburn has now is they've got organization on both sides of the ball. There was never any doubt about it on defense. You heard that from the quarterback of two years of Auburn saying, hey, the defense is good. That's why you keep DJ Durkin.

However, the offense lacked that same organization and process, which is why you make a change at head coach. You know, Auburn has hired a lot of offensive head coaches over the years just for offense to be the main problem. Ceasar, you were talking about that process and the missing process there. I was just saying, you know, Peyton Thorn told us it was missing years ago under Hugh Freeze.
I think he'd be OK with me saying this now. Not a Hugh fan is Peyton, but Auburn made the change. And now you've moved on to Alex Golesh and he seems to have fixed the process part of it.

Just in how he talks to media, Mike, is even though he's worried about B, he's not going to talk about B to the media and publicly until he is prepared to address A, right?
