Where ETR Ranks Disagree Most With The Market and WHY (Episode 993 with Adam Levitan, Evan Silva, Justin Herzig, Jack Miller)

Hello, and welcome to episode 993 of the official establishtherun.com podcast. My name is Adam Levitan, and it is July. We are rapidly encroaching on peak drafting season. It is time to dive deep into where we think the market is wrong about players.
To discuss this, we are joined by three young men you know and love from three different teams. First up, Evan Silva from the ball-knowing team. Evan, how's it going today?

It's going great. I'm up to about 20 drafts under my belt so far. I mean, Herzig's probably got 300 and Jack's probably pushing for 100 So I want to hear about how many drafts you guys have done so far as of July 1st, 2026

**Adam Levitan** (0:58)
Well, that you have the right man on because Justin Herzig, King of all best ball virgins is with us today. Herzig, how many drafts have you done? How's it going?

**Justin Herzig** (1:08)
I mean, I think yesterday I did 101, but it's okay. They were auto-drafted. There's some strategy behind that guys.

**Jack Miller** (1:14)
Don't worry.

**Justin Herzig** (1:14)
But now that it's July, are we no longer virgins? Can we at least maybe have a little post-cortis? Where are we at?

**Adam Levitan** (1:22)
Yes. At this point, yes. As we get into July and once we get past July 4th, I consider it peak drafting season. So yes, we're in the clear. Anyways, Jack Miller, hopefully you guys are listening to on the Establish The Edge projection shows with Gretch and Mark. Highly, highly recommend you tune in to that. But Jack Miller from the projections team, how's it going today?

It's going well.
I've actually slowed down on drafting since we've started that podcast, just because I think it's really helpful for my process. And I hope it's helpful for everyone else to talk through everything with Gretch and really formulating my takes better before I start going really high volume later this month. But I'm excited to be here on a bit of a podcasting tear lately. But good to be here on the main ETR feed.

All right. On today's show, we're going to hopefully answer a lot of your questions. I get messages all the time. Adam, why are you guys so high on X player? Or why are you so low on Y player? Today is your lucky day because we are going to look at these spots. Our ETR rankings are furthest off average draft position. I want to be clear here that the ETR ranks are a combination of our modeling slash algorithms, ball knowing input from everyone on our NFL team. In other words, I might not agree with all our stances.
We are going to talk about all of them today, which I think will help just talking through it.

All right, let's get into it here on biggest ADP disagreements. One that we have been rounds, I mean rounds below ADP on for the last two months is Makai Lemon, Eagles rookie wide receiver. We are at 104 overall in the DK best ball ranks. Market is at 88 overall. We talked about this a little bit already, Silva. I know you came out of the gates lower than market on Makai Lemon. Any updated thoughts on Makai Lemon? How do you feel about being well behind market here?

**Evan Silva** (3:50)
Well, he looks like his ADP, Makai Lemon's ADP right now is 88 I'm at 93 and the ETR ranks are at 104 Yeah, so the ETR ranks are actually substantially lower on Makai Lemon.
Then even I am, and I've been saying since the draft that I did not think that this was an ideal landing spot for Makai Lemon from a fantasy football standpoint. I mean, I really like to pick for the Eagles. I think Makai Lemon is going to be a stud. I just, I don't think he's going to play in two receiver sets right out of the gate. And I think that the Eagles are going to be one of the most run heavy teams in the NFL. And I think that where Jaylen Herz throws the football is not necessarily, throws the football best is not necessarily where Makai Lemon is going to be winning on the field. So I'm sticking with my number 93 ranking going forward. But I do think it's interesting to see that the ETR projection based ranks are substantially lower.
