You know, who knows? And that goes into Clay's question, which you touched on a little bit there, but he said, what would you like to see Cruise do next? What genre director? Not what you think he'll do next, but what would you like him to do in a perfect world? So also, I don't think you're the biggest Tome Cruise guy, Dome, so is there something like, yeah, is yours to go away to play Baron Iron Man to, what could he do, what could he do? Produce a Spelunky movie?

SPEAKER_2 (0:27)

I feel like this is kind of what I wanted from him, I think, was him to do a weird thing like this. And again, I think this movie looks cool, and I will watch it before Golden Geeks, presumably. You think it'll make an impact on Golden Geeks? Should I watch it for that reason?

SPEAKER_1 (0:43)

I would fight for Cruise for sure.

SPEAKER_2 (0:46)

If you would fight for Cruise, that's a good enough compelling point for me, because he's never really been a huge dent on the Golden Geeks, but it'd be fun to have him in there for a weird role.

SPEAKER_1 (0:58)

Yeah, we'll see what happens, because luckily I heard you'd watch Obsession, so that would have been on my list, but that's knocked off. I think Taylor might pick Hocum, which if he does, then like...

SPEAKER_2 (1:07)

I saw that's on Prime now, so that's on my list. Maybe I'll watch it this month for this.

SPEAKER_1 (1:11)

Hocum's fun, yeah, you like having Scott Hocum's fun, like scary movies. So I think like, other than that and the drama, it might be there, you know? So, you know, we'll see, we'll see. Maddie's rolling over, it's great right now here in Golden Geeks and Digger, but, you know.

SPEAKER_2 (1:24)

But, I mean, when all the rumors were swirling, I was so stoked for Cruise to be in the final Tarantino movie, right? And then obviously that kind of-

SPEAKER_1 (1:33)

Oh, yeah, right. All these things happened.

SPEAKER_2 (1:35)

But like, I mean, I'll take any one of it in a Tarantino movie, of course, but I don't know, something like that, a pairing like that seems like it could be really fun, because yeah, that is kind of the thing with Cruise, like even outside of, like before Digger, all these movies, it was like, isn't he like just working with the same director, even outside of just the Mission Impossible stuff? Isn't he like kind of just working with the same people?

SPEAKER_1 (1:55)

He's working with Macquarie a lot, like he all, because the working theories, he kind of ghost directs a lot of his movies, but he still likes the director there, but the buck stops with Tom Cruise on these movies, you know?

SPEAKER_2 (2:06)

He's directing these movies. I want to see him have like, I mean, yeah, put him as a starring role in Tarantino, sure, I'm down to see that, but give him like a weird eight-minute, weird cameo role in a Tarantino movie. That's the kind of fun stuff I want to see from him.

SPEAKER_1 (2:20)

Yeah, or even if it was like a bigger, juicy role, I'd like him to have like the Bruce Willis role in Pulp Fiction where like he's not like the main thing, but he has that big section there. No, you just brought that back in my mind.

I have a few things. The Tarantino thing is definitely, because I want to see Cruise with Tarantino dialogue. I do think that's like a big styles clash between the two, because I think Tarantino probably wants to sing in a very specific way.

SPEAKER_2 (2:42)

Yeah, and he's not going to be down for ghost directors on his set.

SPEAKER_1 (2:47)

But that's where you pitch me if it's a small scene. He's like, hey, let's just have some fun. That's like something. If it's Tarantino's final movie, you won't get a shot to do this again. So I would be down for that. Even then, like I just said, that maybe he wants to star, I guess, I don't know. I almost would love the announcement if they say, hey, yeah, Cruise is directing a movie and he's not in it. He's just going to direct it. And I'm like, OK, if he's ghost directing these movies, which I don't think was the case with Digger, I don't think he did that, but with some of these action movies, like, OK, what does he have? Because if you listen to his interviews, he's very sad with film and camera and like he's been around for a long time, he's worked with the best of the best. So he knows his stuff. So I wouldn't mind that.
