All right, welcome to another edition of We're Talking Sports with Will and Ron.

Ron (1:04)

Good morning.

Will (1:04)

Here with my good friend, Ron.

Ron (1:06)

Yeah.

Will (1:06)

How are you, bud?

Ron (1:07)

I'm doing good.

Will (1:08)

Yeah, long time no see.

Ron (1:09)

Yeah, yeah.

Will (1:10)

You look different for some reason.

Ron (1:11)

Oh, yeah? Yeah. I'm relaxed. I'm in the co-pilot chair.

Will (1:15)

The co-pilot chair. Yeah. Yeah. You're just enjoying the ride.

Ron (1:18)

Just enjoying the ride. Yeah. I don't have to think about anything.

Will (1:21)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_7 (1:22)

Yeah.

Will (1:22)

So before we introduce our guest here, I just want to say, take a moment of silence because today may be my last baseball season day.

Ron (1:33)

Yeah.

SPEAKER_7 (1:33)

Yeah. Today my Dodgers may be swept.

Will (1:38)

Swept. I hope not. It's swept. Swept. Yeah. Swept. Milwaukee. Okay. So I'm hoping not. I'm hoping we don't get swept and we could take at least today's game and maybe one more. Okay. But I've got a little tear.

Ron (1:57)

They might be on vacation after this.

Will (1:58)

Yeah. That's what you're saying. I may have to start watching that football stuff now.

Well, that's good. Right.

Ron (2:04)

Now we'll have something to talk about.

Will (2:06)

Now we'll have something to talk about. Now we can do a real sports podcast.

Ron (2:10)

There you go.

SPEAKER_4 (2:10)

Yeah. Yeah.

Will (2:12)

Hey, speaking of real sports podcasts, we got a guy here who could probably just host his own.

SPEAKER_4 (2:18)

I think so.

Will (2:18)

His own show somewhere. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_4 (2:20)

Yeah.

Ron (2:21)

He's a good guy to have on.

Will (2:22)

He is. We refer to him as coach.

Coach John, as a matter of fact. Coach, welcome to the program.

John Wilfert (2:28)

Well, thank you so much, and thanks for the introduction. I don't know if I need to pay you now to be my agent or pay you later, but anyhow, I enjoy the introduction, and I always enjoy your show, and it's always a lot of fun.

Will (2:37)

Well, you know, I prefer you pay me now. Okay. That's always insurance guys. They want the money up front, right?

John Wilfert (2:42)

And the deductible comes later.

Will (2:44)

Right. Absolutely. Yeah.

Yes, sir. You know how he works. I know exactly how insurance people work. They're all the same.

John Wilfert (2:51)

They want the money up front, and then you never see them when there's ever a problem.

Will (2:54)

You know what? You could see me all the time. No, I see you. You're one of the good guys.

John Wilfert (2:58)

We like you because you're actually around and we do need help, and we appreciate that.

Will (3:02)

Thank you for the kind words. We're even now. We're even. There'll be no money.

John Wilfert (3:07)

You have your agent talk to my agent, and we'll see what we can get done.

Will (3:10)

Well, we'll see about that. Yeah, but hey, thanks for joining us again as a real friend of the program. You covered for me a couple of weeks ago when I was out.

I enjoyed it.

John Wilfert (3:22)

I don't know if I can cover for you, but I definitely stepped in and tried, so that's for sure. But I do feel your pain tonight a little bit with the Dodgers, but we are at home, so we're hoping that maybe, you know, that 0-3, we can get on the win column.

Will (3:33)

Well, we were at home last night, too, so.

John Wilfert (3:35)

Yeah, that didn't quite turn out the way we wanted.

Will (3:38)

Yeah, when the first pitch of the game is a home run. Oh, really?

John Wilfert (3:41)

That doesn't happen very often, but yeah, that's not exactly the way you want to start a game, is throwing the first pitch. I don't know, I think maybe he should have warmed up a little bit more.

SPEAKER_7 (3:50)

I think he probably just shouldn't have thrown it down the middle, you know, is what I'm thinking.

Will (3:54)

A fastball down the middle probably isn't the best pitch to open the game.

John Wilfert (3:58)

I don't think you're going to see that tonight. I think the first pitch is probably going to be a curveball slider or something inside, but it's not going to be a fastball down the middle.
