Will (0:57)

All right, welcome to another edition of We're Talking Sports with Will and Ron.

Ron (1:02)

Good morning.

Will (1:03)

Good morning. How are you, sir?

Ron (1:04)

I'm doing well. I'm doing well.

Will (1:06)

Yeah. Thank you. You know, I've made it for two weeks in a row now.

SPEAKER_4 (1:08)

You did, yeah.

Will (1:10)

So that's good.

SPEAKER_4 (1:11)

Yeah.

Ron (1:12)

I guess I lost the bet, so.

Will (1:13)

Yeah, absolutely. You did, didn't you? Hey, man. So we have on today the real talent of the trio.

Ron (1:20)

That's right.

Luke Arenas (1:20)

Yeah.

Will (1:21)

Yeah. Mr. Luke Arenas, how are you, buddy?

Luke Arenas (1:23)

Doing good. Good morning. How are you guys doing?

Will (1:25)

I'm doing great, man. We're ready to top some football.

Luke Arenas (1:27)

Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. It's been a weird season this year, so.

Will (1:30)

It hasn't been?

SPEAKER_4 (1:31)

No, yeah. It's crazy.

Ron (1:33)

Week five.

Will (1:33)

Yeah. Before we get into our picks, Luke, you know, you will agree that of the three of us, he's probably the most educated in the football, you know, the present season, especially.

SPEAKER_4 (1:48)

Okay.

Will (1:48)

The going on, right? Yeah. So what's been the biggest surprise this year? Who's been the biggest flop and who's been the biggest overachiever?

Luke Arenas (1:56)

Yeah, I think, I mean, definitely got to give her credit for them. I mean, Las Vegas. Same with the Browns, too. Yeah. Browns looking, they're looking pretty solid. I mean, I'll even give a little credit to my Giants just because, I mean, we lost so much and we're still, we're still three and one right now, too.

I know we've, I think, the last next four weeks or so, we have a pretty weak schedule. So if we can get as many ones as possible during that, that'd be great.

SPEAKER_4 (2:20)

Yeah.

Ron (2:21)

I mean, talking about your Giants, you guys have a brand new coach, you know, and I think that's the biggest difference.

SPEAKER_7 (2:26)

Oh, yeah.

Will (2:28)

Not just a regular coach.

SPEAKER_4 (2:29)

Yeah. Yeah.

Ron (2:30)

You've got Harbaugh, John Harbaugh on there. But then you lost your quarterback, your starting quarterback, you lost your best defensive player. Yeah.

Luke Arenas (2:37)

Both out for the season.

Ron (2:38)

Both out for the season. Yeah. So to be three and one, that's pretty impressive.

Luke Arenas (2:42)

Yeah. You can't be mad at that at all. I mean, you got to give Harbaugh a lot of credit for that.

Ron (2:46)

Yeah.

Luke Arenas (2:46)

I mean, I didn't think we're going to go anywhere after after Dart went down. Right. But a lot of people are stepping up, especially in our secondary. Javon Holland's been fantastic. I'm probably top three and defensive player of the year right now.

Even our edges, our young guys too. Abdul Carter's been absolutely fantastic. Same with Harbaugh Reese, been a great linebacker for us. So people have been stepping up, which is always a good thing. So I hope we can keep the train rolling on that.

Ron (3:13)

Yeah.

Luke Arenas (3:13)

And then for some of the teams that haven't looked so good, New England, that's a big one too. Yeah.

Ron (3:20)

I mean, there's still two and two.

Luke Arenas (3:21)

There's still two and two, but they haven't looked good.

Ron (3:24)

No, except for last week. Last week, they looked pretty good, but yeah, the two weeks before that, they looked horrible.

Luke Arenas (3:29)

Yeah. Well, it's not the prettiest two and two that you can have.

Ron (3:32)

Right.

Luke Arenas (3:32)

Right. Like the Rams probably have a little bit of a prettier two and two than the New England, but the Rams also, I don't think Aaron Donald's playing this week.

Ron (3:41)

No.

Luke Arenas (3:41)

So they're not going to be without Aaron Donald again.

Ron (3:44)

Puka hasn't played.

Luke Arenas (3:45)

I don't know when Puka's ever going to play. And then-

Ron (3:49)

And Miles Garrett, of course.

Luke Arenas (3:50)

Yeah, Miles Garrett. When he's got another week or two. Yeah. A week or two till he comes back. So I mean, that team's going to be scary when everyone comes back. But I mean, it's just been a rough start at the season for them.

Ron (3:59)

I think the biggest surprise for everyone is probably the Chargers.
