Oh, hey there, I'm Lenny. Welcome to a little teaser episode that I decided to put together just to give you a sense of what to expect out of this podcast, why you may want to consider subscribing, and a peek at what's to come. If you're already sold on this podcast, feel free to just skip this episode and dive right into our first chat with Julie Zhu. Otherwise, as you may know, I spend a lot of my time writing a newsletter, very creatively titled, Lenny's Newsletter, which not only gives me an excuse to research and share how the best products are built and scaled, but it also leads me to meeting the most incredible people, folks that are behind today's most successful products and companies.
And what I realized is that I'm missing a really big opportunity to go much deeper into these people's stories and to share their wisdom more directly versus a couple of quotes in a couple of posts here and there. And so that's what I hope to do with this podcast, to interview and learn from basically every world-class product leader and growth expert that I can get my hands on, to hear their stories and extract as much concrete, actionable and tactical advice that I can to help you build and grow your own product. We're not gonna have much pontificating or theory. Just like my newsletter, we're gonna focus on real practical stuff. I'm new to this podcasting thing, and so I hope that you can bear with me as I learn how to do this very new thing. I'm gonna work hard to make this incredibly valuable and super interesting.
And I'm also gonna make it a goal to make the guest list as diverse as possible. Also, I'm gonna mix in both people who you already know and love, but also people who are more under the radar, but amazing and deserve more attention. To kick things off, we're gonna have a pretty damn stellar lineup. Basically all of my product heroes and growth heroes, people who I am so honored to have on as guests, folks like Julie Zhu, who I already mentioned, who was a long time design leader at Facebook, who actually inspired the newsletter that I do now, and we talk about that, along with a bunch of wisdom on career growth and imposter syndrome. Also, Manu Gupta, who led Product at Uber and Google Maps, and now at Microsoft. Jackie Bavaro, who wrote Cracking the PM Interview and Cracking the PM Career. Shreyas Doshi, who if you're a PM on Twitter, you probably already follow. And we go really deep into five very specific topics that he tweeted about that have stuck with me. Also, Gibson Biddle, former VP of Product and Netflix. Elena Verna, who's in the top, I don't know, 0.1% of smartest people on growth in the world.
And so many others, April Dunford, Casey Winters, Gokul Rajaram, Marty Kagan, Teresa Torres. I could go on and on. This is just like the first 10 or 12 episodes of the podcast.
