I think of the first time I had a huge hiccup in the podcast like this, and I've apologized profusely, but we recorded about a half an hour of this podcast. And then I realized I wasn't recording.

You were. You handled that very well. I don't think I would have handled that with as much poise as you did because that was painful.

So we recorded a full half hour and then Matt realized he didn't turn his thing on, which I think, has that ever happened in this podcast before?

No, we've been doing this since 2018 I don't think that's ever happened to us.

**Nic Carter** (1:34)
Six years. So eight years? Jesus. That's like a-

Time flies.

We did lose a podcast episode because I was at a conference and forgot to upload it. So there's one lost tape out there.

**Matt Walsh** (1:48)
There is a lost tape. And then we skipped a week once.

**Nic Carter** (1:51)
We skipped. Yeah, we skipped like two or three, I think. But we have never forgotten to turn on the equipment.

**Matt Walsh** (1:58)
Yep. That's me.

Kind of a cool milestone for us. So it really was, you know that song, The Greatest Song In The World by Tenacious D?

Yes.

This is, yeah, this is not the greatest song in the world. This is just a tribute.

Yeah. So what was it? He like dreamt of the greatest song in the world or something.

Right.

Was that it? So this episode is a tribute to the greatest episode ever recorded, which was just now.

It's in my defense, we got a lot going on here.
I was trying to coordinate signing a term sheet. We got a couple of follow-ons going on. We have day jobs over here.

**Nic Carter** (2:34)
We do, and we're uncompensated for this. I do remember thinking to myself, this was a particularly good episode.

I know because we started talking about my skunk problem. We did six minutes on the skunk.
For those of you who didn't hear, which is all of you, I have a skunk in my backyard now.

**Nic Carter** (2:54)
Yeah, I guess we'll just play it back. Has the skunk sprayed you or your children yet?

**Matt Walsh** (3:03)
Skunk has not sprayed me or my children. I've got the turkeys. That's been well documented, but now we have a skunk borrowing holes in my backyard. I thought it was a mole, but it's a full-blown skunk.

**Nic Carter** (3:14)
It's a totally different scale of rodent. Skunks are very cute, I would argue.

**Matt Walsh** (3:20)
Yeah, they're good-looking.

**Nic Carter** (3:21)
They're handsome little forest critters, but they just have this really dark side to them, unfortunately. You can't enjoy their presence at all.

**Matt Walsh** (3:30)
Yeah, and then we did a whole riff about what do skunks do in the winter. I don't know if we can play that back.

**Nic Carter** (3:37)
Yeah, we don't need to, actually. We had a long discussion of what various creatures do in the wintertime in Massachusetts, and the TLDR is we don't know how they make it through the winter.
