Injuries are piling up, and four teams are on by, meaning waivers this week are more important than ever. And today, Joey Wright and I are going to talk about some of the biggest names that you need to be targeting on the waiver wire this week. Joey, let's go ahead and start with one name here that is just a unanimous name that we both chose as the top waiver priority heading into week six.

Damian Pearce, I did not expect to be talking about Damian Pearce, but here we are. Saquon Barkley is dealing with an injury. Will Shipley left almost immediately following his touchdown in London. And now Damian Pearce is the next man up. How excited are you about Damian Pearce in Fantasy Football?

Joey Wright (0:45)

Personally, I'm very excited for Damian Pearce. He's a player I've always rooted for and just seems to have gotten the bad end of the stick since his rookie year.

If you remember back to his rookie year, almost 1,100 total yards, five touchdowns and was third in the lead in broken tackles behind Jonathan Taylor, and I forget who the other guy was, but Jonathan Taylor was the number one guy, and I was always impressed by that with Damian Pearce. Listen, this Pearce ad, I mean, if you look at the game he had this week, 11 carries for 14 yards, two recessions for negative two yards, this is an ad based on pure speculation. Everyone in Philly is injured. They got Carolina and Dallas coming up the next two weeks, two pretty good matchups that they should be able to lean on the run a little bit. We'll see Jalen Hurts running the ball, of course, but I do expect Damian Pearce to be involved. I think Carson Steele is also there. But at this point, I would actually trust Damian Pearce over Carson Steele in this offense. I do think he could be valuable for fantasy teams based purely on volume of what he could be getting.

Dave Kluge (1:40)

Can you read back that stat line one more time, Joey?

Joey Wright (1:43)

I don't want to, Dave.

Dave Kluge (1:44)

It's bad. I mean, like, there's not much of an opportunity here. Like all of these skilled players are banged up in Philadelphia.

We got the Lane Johnson retirement. We got the Cam Juergens trade. So their offensive line is in shambles right now. You know, they were able to put up a formidable performance in London. But yeah, I mean, like this just is not a good team right now. So, yeah, we want to chase volume to some extent, and there should be volume there for Damian Pearce. But you talk about Carson Steele, another guy they have in the practice squad right now is Jaden Blue, who could end up getting elevated as more of the big play outside runner, where Damian Pierce is more of your between the tackles bruiser. Do you have any concern that maybe they bring in a Jaden Blue, or maybe even another guy and split the workload, or do you think it's just going to be all Damian Pierce until Saquon's back?

Joey Wright (2:31)

I think it probably would be all Damian Pierce until Saquon's back. However, let me just say, if you see Jaden Blue get activated for that Dallas game, let's just follow that narrative a little bit, folks, with that flex spot because that would be a really fun revenge spot.

Dave Kluge (2:44)

Yeah, absolutely. Well, we've got a lot more players that we are going to discuss today. You could probably see them all on the graphic right here but before we talk about all of those names, go ahead and hit that thumbs up button on YouTube. We're trying to help this channel grow and you liking this video is one of the best ways to do that. And if you stumbled across this channel and are new here, you've never seen our faces before, go ahead and hit that subscribe button. Stick around. We do this Monday through Friday every single week in season, bringing you daily fantasy content. Today, Joey Wright and I are doing waivers, but if you want to go back to yesterday's show, we've recapped every week five game with Jeff Bell. Tomorrow, I'm going to be joined with Bob Harris as we talk about some risers and fallers in fantasy football. On Thursday, Dan Hindery is coming here and we're going to talk about starts, sits, and sleepers. And then Jeff Bell and I are going to do our week six matchup preview on Friday. So hit that subscribe button, hang out with us, and let's win some fantasy football leagues. But Joey, let's go ahead and talk about another running back, another young running back on the right side of the age curve, names that we were very excited about, just like Damian Pierce just a few years ago. Kendre Miller. We saw last year that Kendre Miller started to grow his role a little bit. Looked like he was finally hitting that breakout, then he tears his ACL. He's back for the start of this season, and Alvin Camaro, while dealing with a back injury, was a little bit limited in this matchup, and we saw Kendre Miller getting a pretty big role. Now, if you look at the box score, you see a touchdown on there. But if you watch the game, I think that's what gets me most excited, Joey. Four straight opportunities inside the red zone until he eventually plunged in for that touchdown. So I think we're going to be looking at a split backfield here. CJ Donaldson probably getting some of the passing down reps. We're going to see Alvin Camara catching the ball quite a bit. But I think Kendra Miller is the guy they want to lean on for the early down and goal line work. What type of value do you think that has in fantasy football?
