This episode is brought to you by Carhartt. We spent a lot of time talking about what happens on the field, but what about everything that has to happen before anyone can play on it? The grass has to be grown, the stadium has to be built, the goal posts have to be welded. That's the work of tradespeople committed to getting every detail right. And Carhartt is proud to outfit those people, the crews making football possible. So this season, when you're watching the game, take a second to think about the people behind it. Did you know that psoriatic arthritis may progress over time and could cause permanent joint damage if left untreated?

Listen to what it sounds like to be a million miles away.

Trimphia gusocumab, taken by injection, is a prescription medicine for adults with active psoriatic arthritis. Serious allergic reactions, increased risk of infections or lower ability to fight them and liver problems may occur. Before treatment, get checked for infections and tuberculosis. Tell your doctor if you have an infection, flu-like symptoms, or need a vaccine. Imagine being a million miles away. Explore the possibilities. Ask your doctor about Trimphia. I am joined by Danny Kelly and Craig Horlbeck. Today, we are going over all the must add players after week five. Entering week six, here's how it's going to go work. We're going to go position by position. We're going to give our top pick at that position, and then we're going to have a triviate tiebreaker to decide who gets what as player, and then you'll have to pick someone else. If you lose, it's not that complicated. You'll follow it as you go along. Email us at ringerfantasyfootball.gmail.com if you have trivia questions for us, fantasy courts, emails, fantasy courts, we will litigate things going on in your group chat.

One change this week, though, which is frankly, all the picks on waivers this week suck.

Danny Kelly (3:30)

They're all bad, like very sad, a sad group of waiver ads.

Danny Heifetz (3:35)

And so this inspired us to change this up a little bit this week and maybe take an eye more toward the future. Is that right, Craig?

Craig Horlbeck (3:44)

Yeah, this is going to be stash week. We're heading into week six.

We're looking at guys like Samajay P. Ryan and Roshan Johnson on the waiver wire this week. So less important and more important to maybe look at guys who a month or two from now could be significant contributors to your team. It happens every year, particularly rookies, second year guys that take a little bit of time to pop. If you look at last year, guys like Luther Burden, Jalen Coker, tight ends like Colston Loveland that come on late in the season. So Harold Fanon is a great example. He was a top five tight end to close the end of last year. So we're going to go through all the rookies and maybe some second year guys if we want that aren't doing anything right now, but you might want to add so that a month from now, when they're popping off, they're on your team.

Danny Heifetz (4:31)

I'm glad we're doing this because I was looking, I don't know why, but this felt bleaker than earlier than ever for like, what is a running back? I cannot have waivers. And I'm looking at him like, is Najee Harris like one of the guys here for the Giants? Like, oh, God, tell people to add, never mind play any of these people. So I think this makes more sense. It also is more valuable. Colston Loveland being the perfect example. I know he sucks again this season, but Colston Loveland last year, I believe, was the 50th best tight end in the first nine weeks of the season. And he's barely playing second from that point on. And so it's a mix of playing time, injuries, whatever, environmental factors, like with teams, not the actual environment. Although maybe some teams, maybe you never know. But yeah, I think this is like the perfect thing because there's some of these guys who are available waivers or some of their bylaws that are free. You know what I mean? Some of these are just people hanging onto the bottom of people's rosters that if you ask for in a trade, they're like, oh my God, yeah, I'd love to get rid of this person. So I think it's a good time to do this.
